When becoming attracted to other person, there are multiple way to have a connection. The first method is through the mere-exposure effect. Another technique towards attraction is known as proximity. Finally, the last way to connect with another person is by having a matching phenomenon. When using these three practices, a connection will be easily created. “The tendency for novel stimuli to be liked more or rated more positively after the rater has been repeatedly exposed to them,” (Myers 399). Then all will answer that they prefer dogs more than cats. They all choose the answer dogs because within their group, they all are dog owners. That is their in-group while the out-group (the cats) is what is different from them. Another example of in-group bias can come from Religion. Religion can create an in-group bias because everyone has the freedom to choose a religion different from someone else. Meaning there are many in-group bias on religion. For example. Christians may feel a bond or favoritism towards other people who worship or believe the same religious tendencies as them. On the other hand there are some faults with obtain an in-group bias.
