The 1960’s horror film, Psycho, was directed by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. The all star cast consist of Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, and John Gavin. Janet Leigh portrays Marion Crane, A real estate agent in Phoenix, Arizona who is fed up with her lackluster life. Marion’s one wish is to marry her lover, Sam Loomis, but due to Sam’s recent divorce he is trumped in debt and the two cannot afford to tie the knot. Like any normal Friday, Marion strolls back into work after her lunch break expecting a normal day in the office. Shortly after Marion’s entrance George Lowery, her boss, enters with a new client. The client drops 40,000 dollars in cash on Marion's desk and instructs her to deposit the money into the company's bank account. Seeing the opportunity to take the money and turn her life around, Marion makes a run for it to Sam’s hardware store in Fairvale, California. Exhausted after driving for hours she decides to pull to the side of the road to sleep. The next morning she is confronted by a highway patrol officer. The officer detects strange energy and decides to follow Marion, but loses her after she purchases a new car. After an uncomfortable dinner with Norman, Marion goes back to her room to take a shower. While in the shower Norman’s jealous mother stabs her to death with a butcher knife. Worried after not hearing from her sister in days Lila Crane goes to Sam's store to figure out why her sister has disappeared. The two are informed by Marion’s boss that she had fled town with 40,000 dollars that belongs to the real estate company. Scared of what the outcome could be Lila and Sam hire a detective, Arbogast, to find Marion so they can convince her to return the money before charges are brought against
