For some, it is a very young age in life and for the others it comes at a much later time. None the less, almost every woman goes through that stage where they want to change they way they appear to society. Often times they are influenced by what they see in the media. They pick their favorite celebrities and follow them through their fashion and looks. In this day and age, everything is influenced by music, tv and the characters everyone pretends to be. Gossip and fashion magazines are also a great help, as well as celebrity reality tv shows and other popular shows on tv or even talk shows and definitely award shows. Take it from someone who has been there before, I have experimented with my hair and have damaged it a lot by thinking I knew what I was doing when in all reality I did not. It was horrible, I have ended up with dry damaged brittle orange hair before and it was not pretty at all! The devastation of damaging your hair because you think you know what you are doing or think you will save money by doing it yourself is not at all worth it in the end. It is always best to seek the help of a professional when you go through your stage of change. The extra cost is well worth it, not only will you save your hair the trouble, but you will also be a lot happier the first time around.

If the hair isn’t treated properly with several chemicals being added such as relaxers or dye, the hair can easily become dry, brittle, and create many split ends throughout your hair even rising up to the roots. Although, those methods have been proven to work, there are many other less invasive methods available for obtaining beautiful hair. The use of hair extensions have become a popular trend in today’s society. Many celebrities, TV personalities and even politicians have owned up to adding a few hair extensions here and there. Hair extensions can be used to add length and volume to thin, short and receding hair. However, finding a beautician to install them can be bit pricy for the average individual. Being able to install them on your own can not only save you thousands of dollars a year in salon costs, it can also be used as a trade to make some additional cash on the side.

At the age of 18 Nicole got her license to do hair in an R.O.P. class at her high school, after graduation she was working hard to support herself and pay for her college tuition.
