Has God ever given you a mission? Has life ever been so hard, but you find the light to make it better for everyone? My Grandparents have always had a huge impact on my life and are very important to me. There has been ups and downs throughout the years but it is all for the better. In this hard journey I found the mission God is sending me on. My Mother received a call from Grandma who was in a fright. My Mother just yelled for me to get in the car and that Grandpa had fell and hurt his hip. We sped down the back roads to arrive at their house to find my ninty year old Grandpa lying in the middle of the driveway. Grandpa did in fact fractured his hip along with his femur and pelvic bone. She informed us that he would have to undergo surgery soon to replace the acetabulum. The doctors said that there was a chance he might never walk again. After he heals from surgery he would have to go through physical therapy at a rehabilitation center. He also had a urinary tract infection and was talking out of his mind. The doctors also ran some test and diagnosed him with dementia. My Mother ended up having to stay with him all week long. I was talking to my Mother about it and she opened up a new book in my life. She made the realization that I also set out my Grandparents medicine and know more about them than anyone. She said that I seem so intrigued by the medications, and that I could make a great Pharmacist. Her statement made me start thinking, she’s right, I really do enjoy setting out, learning, and giving them their medication. I could be a Pharmacist one day! The vocational school I was attending my nursing classes at also had a pharmacy course where I could obtain my Pharmacy Technician certification in one year. So for my Senior year of high school I dropped the nursing classes and went to the Pharmacy classes instead. This allowed me to work in a Pharmacy and get a hand on feel for the career. I instantly feel in love with it. The more I study Pharmacy the more I feel that God has sent me on a mission. I started to realized that I am needed to find the cure for dementia. My family and I have been through so much with my Grandparents but it was not their fault. They start losing control of their own body and actions. It is hard on the dementia patients and their
