After hitting the snooze button two times and my mom yelling at me “Embla Haukdal , GET UP NOW ” I finally got up and walked downstairs. My mom looked startled when I came in and I noticed that in her hand she held an envelope. When I asked about it she just go defensive and told me to get dressed. I had missed my friends so much over the summer. How Katrín or Kata as I call her became my best friend when I moved here three years ago is still a mystery to me. When I first saw her I thought for sure that she would be the self-centered, bitch that every school had. Because she was extremely gorgeous, had flawless skin, skinny and all the guys were practically drooling over her. But that wasn’t the case at all. Although she was really confident and loud, she was very sincere and really nice. Even though it was August it was surprisingly warm outside and the sun was shining high in the sky. When I finally got to school I stopped in front of it and taking in the moment, not really believing that this day was here. I was really grateful I had Kata, she was like a sister to me. Thought I never told her the real reason why me and my mom moved here. Just when I was about to enter the school entrance I saw him. The ever so popular, arrogant and gorgeous Baldur Blöndal. That also happens to be Katrinar older brother. I would see him from time to time when I was at Katrinar house, but every week he had a new girl on his arm. He was such a player and treated girls badly, everyone knew it but they still kept chasing after him. I hated every thing about him, his arrogant attitude and they way he walked around the halls flirting with every girl. I even hated the way his blue eyes sparkled and the way his skin looked golden when the sun ... ... middle of paper ... ...e’s here” I said while a tear ran down my cheek. “ Is he the one whose been calling the phone?” “Yes” said my mother calmly I noticed that Baldur stood there and he had been there the entire time and witnessed the whole conversation. Before he could say anything I ran upstairs to my room and my knees couldn’t take it anymore so I just sank to the floor by the wall and started crying. Baldur walked into my room and tried to comfort me. I completely freaked out and started yelling at him. And I eventually started crying again. “He’s here for me and he won’t leave with out me” “Hey everything is going to be all right” he said while wiping a tear from my cheek “You don’t know that” I said weakly “Yes I do” he said while smiling “ How, how can you possibly know that?” I asked again “Because I wont let anybody hurt you, and plus the hero always wins in the end”
When I stepped out of the door on that Saturday morning the weather could not have been any better. The sun had only been in the sky for a few hours so the air was still cool. The mix of sunshine and a slight breeze hit my face at the same moment and it felt superb. The short walk across the driveway that I had to take to get in car felt like ages.
disliked him so much by this time that I didn’t find it necessary to tell him
“That’s so sweet. No guy has ever gone through so much trouble for me.” She felt her eyes welling up.
“No one can hurt me. I am a tough person. The bully’s words and actions don’t touch me.”
I sat there, holding my dog, barely able to breathe, bursting in tears and trying to understand what was happening…
When going into high school the same friends you have in freshmen year aren’t the same in senior year. Strong Friendship is always hard to get, I knew who my real friends were after every year in high school ended. By the end of my senior year I had almost all the same friends except for three or four. But there was this one girl who stayed and she been my best friend since then we have had tough time and we have broken up but we always come back to each other. During the break ups I never treated anybody special like I did with her somehow I knew she was going to come back. The theme was always in my life and it showed me that not all my good friends are going to stay but when you have a best friend they’re always going to be

Her mom came into the room rubbing her eyes. “Is everything ok? What’s going on?”
“Brother dear why are you so sad?” she said voice full of love and concern for her brother.
Eventually my mother went to bed because she was tired. I didn't want her to go
It was a warm April day and all of the students were let out of school for the day. I went home to finish packing with the help of my parents making sure that I had everything and I wasn 't forgetting. I was excited for a week now to go on the trip to Washington D.C. with the whole 8th grade class for a week.
When you think about heroism, who comes to mind? Did you think of someone such as Superman, Sherlock Holmes, or your parents? Regardless of whom you choose, what characteristics of this hero embody your ideology of heroism? Historically, heroes were bronzy men with bulging muscles who slew villainous oppressors. Yet to my own belief, modern-day heroes are not required to be physically adept, but rather, heroes need to be authentically driven to overcoming oppression to fortify strength.
Then all of a sudden, he began to choke, and blood dribbled from his mouth and got on my jacket. "What the hell?!" I yelled. I grabbed his shoulders and stared, astonished, at his face, as he silently pleaded for help. I couldn't handle looking at him anymore and I was frozen in shock, so I let him fall to the ground.
When I first saw him, I was sitting in an auditorium complaining to my mother about how cold it was in there. We and hundreds of other student-parent pairs were lined up in rows of the large room waiting to be told what to do by upper-class college students in matching tee shirts. I was scanning, like always, for any interesting guys. Upon finding any that appealed to me, whether by genuine attractiveness, unique clothing or just a pleasant aura, I would watch, study, and try to figure out everything about him, like his attitude, views on the world, and his favorite color.
It was the second semester of fourth grade year. My parents had recently bought a new house in a nice quite neighborhood. I was ecstatic I always wanted to move to a new house. I was tired of my old home since I had already explored every corner, nook, and cranny. The moment I realized I would have to leave my old friends behind was one of the most devastating moments of my life. I didn’t want to switch schools and make new friends. Yet at the same time was an interesting new experience.
