The Haunting of Whodunit Hill Synopsis The story is set in a tiny town called Whodunit Hill where twelve-year-old dyslexic MADISON MISCHIEF a detective at the Deadwood Detective Agency and her associate’s tinkerer and inventor SETH HOLLOWAY, and the brain TWIST TWISTLETON are introduced to their new case a seemingly haunted house. During the course of their investigation, they meet MR. GREENE. They also discover that the haunted house known as Willaston Place was formerly the residence of a sea CAPTAIN CHESTER MCBRIDE, and his bride the Chinese PRINCESS MEI, who he’d long ago whisked away from the emperor. The detectives find the remains of the princess and a curious stone inside the house. However, before the stone can be examined it is quickly grabbed by DAVID SHAW the nephew of EMMA MCBRIDE, Chester’s great-granddaughter. …show more content…

There they learn the story of the Sade Stone—a magical Stone capable of prolonging life—and that it has now been stolen. They also discover that Chance the great-great-grandson of Captain McBride was kidnapped. In the ensuing search for Chance at Emma’s estate, the detectives realize that they have unwittingly come into possession of the Stone and so does Bane, one of Mr. Wang-Woo’s henchmen. Madison hides the Stone in a mineshaft before she is kidnapped by creepy, Mr. Wang-Woo. At his compound, she learns the story of how Captain McBride had long ago stolen both Princess Mei and the Sade Stone, which was originally one of three. Mr. Wang-Woo was a guard for the emperor at that time and when he consumes a concoction derived from the Sade Stone he is transformed back into a young warrior.
