The essay investigates the meaning of the selected forms for the Egyptian culture and explains their dialog with the cosmos. The architecture of ancient Egypt is one of the most important civilizations in history, which developed of different structures and great architectural monuments along the River Nile. The Egypt pyramids were constructed for the pharaoh, as a tomb. Their belief was that the top point of the pyramid was the gate for the soul to travel to the afterlife and return to earth if chosen.

Some writers have called the pyramids mysterious, but recent archaeologists have found many answers to these questions. When one knows how and why the pyramids were built, the Egyptians' achievement seems even more impressive. The pyramids were the tombs of ancient Egyptian kings, or pharaohs.
Archaeology of South Abydos The late Middle Kingdom settled in a city within Egypt called Microcosm which Microcosms located just south of Abydos. In Microcosm architectural and social engineering took place over 3,850 years ago in southern Egypt. There are scared burial sites throughout Egypt within southern Abydos. Abydos was the first burial place of Egypt’s first pharaohs and religious center for the god Osiris. Osiris was referred to as the God of the dead and the ruler of the underworld.

Archeologist say that the steps were used by pharaohs to climb to the sun god.The first pyramid was made by the pharaoh Djoser in 2630 B.C.(Logan). Many ask why the pyramids were built and there are many different ways to explain, but the best way is simply that they were stone tombs in which the body of the pharaoh(ruler of Egypt) could live in the afterlife(Sen)(Barrow). The pyramids have changed since the first step-pyramid was built.
Pyramids are one of the Ancient Architectural structures known to man. They were built as tombs for pharaohs and queens. To a layman, when a pyramid is being made mention of, one automatically assume the Egyptians. Although one of the trademarks of the Egyptians was the pyramid, the Mesopotamians were the first to construct a step-like pyramid structure. These platform-raised buildings were known as Ziggurats.

This makes it likely that Netjerikhet Djoser was her son, with Khasekhemwi his father(Friedman). In the beginning the country had been divided into two regions, Lower Egypt (the Delta) and Upper Egypt (the Nile Valley).

The temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple built by the female pharaoh Hatshepsut around 1470 BC, the architecture of the temple is considered unique and a turning point in the history. It is the largest tomb every built. It was the height of a forty-story building, and its base was the average size of eight football fields. The pyramid contains about 2,300,000 stone blocks. The limestone was covered with a layer of polished stone to add a shine. Deep inside the pyramid are the tomb chambers, one for the king and another for the queen.
