The main character of The Golden Fleece, Jason, has a number of good and bad qualities. One bad trait is that he’s very naive at the start of the story, wanting to go shooting off into his first adventure. “The idea of a great adventure was delightful to Jason. He agreed, and let it be known everywhere that this would be a voyage indeed.” This quote shows that he does not know the horrors and sufferings of a quest. However Jason is willing to do the nearly impossible to make sure his adventure is completed.
