The Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca that takes place in the last month of the year, and that all Muslims are expected to make at least once during their lifetime. The Hajj consists of a five-day excursion to Mecca and other holy sites such as Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.

Likewise, children who make Hajj are required to do so again when they grow up. The Prophet said, "Any child who makes Hajj then reaches puberty must make another Hajj."
