The Western Roman Empire had a huge conquest, and seemed like it could last for many generations. But unfortunately the cause of their downfall was their political, economic, diseas/illnesses, and invading tribe problems that got to the throat of their empire. The Western Roman Empire had many reason for its fall of power. Political reasons were amongst the reasons. Most emperors were greedy, nasty, cruel, or inexperienced, no matter if they inherited the throne, were adopted to it, or raised from military power, generals, and their legions fighting amongst themselves so they could take the throne. In conclusion many roman emperors wanted power, (wanted to do something) that would get them to be remembered a hundred years from then, and most wanted power for the Roman empire.Some of the reasons that the Western Roman Empire fell were because of economic issues, they affected Rome, and its legions because they demanded there to be an increase in their salary. Less economic growth started to make its way into the Western Roman Empire.The lack of gold imported into Rome was becoming less because there was no new conquest to go in search of land to conquer for more gold. Because of this less coins produced with little gold issued in coins, and different materials, or imperfect gold started to go into coins. High tariffs or (taxes on imported goods) made it so that when buying goods bartering started becoming less rare, also because of the lack of gold, and coins. It became more common to barter when merchants came with their goods, and supplies. Farmers started getting drought and their farming decreased their amount of crops they are growing, so it would in in less food being imported into Western Rome, and that would get more, and more …show more content…

When people get water, their pipes are made out of lead (lead poisoning), and horses go do their business on the streets, where would the horses go to do their business anyway? Also that would sometimes go into the drainage, or into their drinking water supply and hold all that bacteria. Many of the newly made public bathrooms would have these sponges on small sticks which you would use as “toilet-paper”, and when you’re done you wash it off, and put it back for the next person to use (malaria), this would cause a problem because many different people would use those “toilet-papers”, and it would spread bacteria, and illness, all because of poor sanitizing conditions.Foreign invaders were mostly the reason for the fall of the Roman Empire. When invaders attacked Rome, they didn’t have much legionaries to defend the border of Rome, because they were mostly focused on who they wanted to be put on that throne. Also who they wanted to have control over them, and their legions. Because of this some lesions had germanic mercenaries working for them. Of course looking back at their history the Romans, and the Germanic tribes didn’t get along well, so the mercenaries turned on the Romans.
