However, its effects on our way of thinking has been shaped by a number of people, thinkers, priests, scientists so on and so forth. If we were to divide that continuum into two parts, they would be before the enlightenment and after the enlightenment. Namely the times of natural philosophy and times of science since the term produced after the mid eighteenths. Before the enlightenment religion was the core, center pillar of natural philosophy when the medieval Europe was thought. For the duration of this paper I will look at Aquinas’s five ways, Hume’s refutation of God being the efficient cause. There are many times throughout the book that I believe they are directed toward God or the supernatural. For example, as the father and son are on their journey on the road they get 'lucky' quit a few times. When they were starving they found a house full of food and later on found a flare gun and blankets. Each of these times that they seemed to get 'lucky', I believe that they were miracles from God. God’s Existence is a very intense topic.The non-believers believe that mostly science created this world, but are not convinced that people created science. As more and more people start to look for answers to basic life questions like; how were we created? why? how did this world come? why are we who we are? and infinite life question, they’ve found many different answers from different religious perspectives which confuses them. No matter how many proof there is of anything’s existence, it’s the people’s choice whether to believe in it or not, if they decide to believe in what they view proof of, then they become believers, if they decide to deny the proof , they become non-believers , but denying the proof shown of something’s existence does not make it disappear.
