Putting a little stress in our life
Living in a society where many things cause stress in the lives of people whether it be because of work, school, family, friends, traffic on the freeway, unemployment, bills, children, and the list goes on and on. When visiting the doctor about symptoms of headaches, not getting enough sleep, or worried about a lot of things the doctor say that person has signs of stress and tells that person how they should handle by resting, exercising, and other things that help stress relief. The question from many maybe what is stress? Stress is a strange pressure on the body that does not allow the body to function properly. Most people who stress assume something bad is happening to them, but what if stressful things or situations could actually be a good thing on the mind and body. How can this be true?! All the time in formation that is given about stress is negative like stress can kill, do not stress out so much, or the question why are people stressing out to make individuals believe stress is a bad thing. Well lets prove this theory wrong by stating the fact that stress is actually good for everyone and that people should love to live with a little of it in their life.

Furthermore, stress has always had a rep of being bad on the physical, emotional, and mental parts of people’s lives but studies from individual who study stress and the effects it has on people have proven this theory wrong. Although, too much stress cannot be good for people by saying stress is just bad for a person is untrue. As for people who think of stress negatively and that is the main problem in people’s life that cause us many problem in the long run these people should be thankful for stress and for the good it has done in the lives of many people.
Stress, as defined as a reaction to a stimulus that breaks our physical and mental harmony, is ubiquitous. However, stress has two sides – the bad and the good, in which the latter is mostly overlooked as most people suffer from the affliction of the former.

Stress is a natural event that exists literally in all areas of one’s life. It can be embedded in the environment, culture, or perception of an event or idea. Stress is a constant burden, and can be detrimental to one’s physical and mental health. However, stress can also provide beneficial effects; it can satisfy one’s need for stimulation and challenge, promote personal growth, and can provide an individual with the tools to cope with, and be less affected by tomorrow’s stress (Weiten & Lloyd, 2006, p. 93).
Stress is the combination of psychological, physiological, and behavioral reactions that people have in response to events that threaten or challenge them. Stress can be good or bad. Sometimes, stress is helpful, providing people with the extra energy or alertness they need. Stress could give a runner the edge he or she needs to persevere in a marathon, for example. This good kind of stress is called eustress. Unfortunately, stress is often not helpful and can even be harmful when not managed effectively. Stress could make a salesperson buckle under the pressure while trying to make a sales pitch at an important business meeting, for example. Moreover, stress can increase the risk of developing health problems, such as cardiovascular disease and anxiety disorders. This bad kind of stress is called distress, the kind of stress that people usually are referring to when they use the word stress.

Stress is a state of mental or emotional tension resulting from adverse or difficult situations (Merriam-Webster). When you are in potential danger, your body responds with a “fight-or-flight” response to protect you from any harm. Although many assume that exercising is healthy, some may not be familiar of how it relieves stress in detail. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of exercise, the pros and cons must be considered. Some pros are: managing the levels of stress in your body, boosting your self-esteem, and improving learning and memory. The cons are: being time consuming and tedious, being costly and expensive, and risking injury while exercising. Let’s look at the pros of physical activity.
