“Nice going, you have succeeded by passing your driving test.” Apparently, the age of 16 is when people get their drivers’ license. Some think that this age requirement is a bit too high but some more think its drastically too low. Currently the age where teens can receive their license is way too low. There are three stages of getting a license and people shouldn’t be qualified to receive their license until they reach 20. The cost, insurance, and the age is the reason why the current driving age need to be raised.

By having the drivers age at 16 there are a lot of accidents. The total of accidents by teenage driving is more than drivers that are older and had greater experience. If the age of driving was raised a little higher this would lower the number of accidents because people would have a greater compassion of what they are doing. At the age of 16 parents still consider you as a child. With that, they charge parents a thousand dollars or even more in the short six months than if you didn’t have a teenage driver. At the age of 20 they won’t consider you as a child anymore and the rate of insurance won’t rise. Insurance is harder to control when you are 16 because, it is way too expensive and goes up if you have poor grades and if in any accidents. With the high rates and criteria, it’s hard and sadly expensive, certainly during our time. Depending on your grades in school is a result in your rate. Students with good grades will have better rates than students that have bad grades. Sometimes it’s not always the student fault. They probably couldn’t understand what they teacher is explaining to them and sometimes scared to ask for help. They would fail by this and would be charged
