In 1692 in Salem Massachusetts, 12 girls accused colonists of witchcraft. nineteen of the colonists were hung for witchcraft. Salem witch trials never had factual evidence to support prosecutors. The evidence was spectral evidence, which was evidence of seeing spirits of the defendant. Spectral evidence was still not reliable facts against a person.During 1692, the people’s clothing is very simple. At the time , technology was not advanced as today. the people living in salem, Massachusett were very basic. 1692 Salem Witch Trials are a memorable historical event. An author named Arthur Miller wrote a screenwrite for the unfaithful event in Salem.The screenwrite that miller wrote was called The crucible, in 1954. The Crucible brought the setting and feeling of the film by the cinematography. The lighting of the film created many emotional scenes. The lighting would create the mood and the truth of a person. An example of lighting in the crucible is when John confesses to getting to “ know” Abigail. The only way to make sure John was telling the truth, the court had to ask John’s wife, Elizabeth. When Elisabeth was about to answer a question from the court, a ray of light enters the screen on the right (Hyter). The light rays on the right represents Elisabeth’s virtue and grace. The light delivers the feeling that Elizabeth will tell the truth. After Elizabeth answers the question, the light slowly disappears. Elizabeth lied to the court, causing her virtue and grace to disappear. An additional example of lighting framework was a scene at the end of crucible. The scene was jong and two other favored characters getting hanged. The lighting of this scene was very bright (Hytner). The light represents the goodness and innocence of these three people. The lighting created the feel of honor for the three people. These people were innocent and the light showcased the truth of these people. the lighting of the film brings the true meaning of a scene, but the music brings the depth of a
