The Constitution of the United States is the most important thing with all the rights and amendments are under it. Based on an article of “The United States Constitution,” there are three main functions of the Constitution. First, it creates a national government consisting of a legislative, an executive, and a judicial branch, with a system of checks and balances among the three branches. Next, it divides power between the federal government and the states. And lastly, it protects various individual liberties of American citizens. From this statement, I can say that the Constitution play a crucial role to the people. In the process of amending the Constitution, one of the advantages are to shields the Constitution from political impulses When I read all of the amendments I found that it is the best way to let the amendments unratified. For example, if the Constitution approve The Equal Right Amendments that specifically for equality in men and women. There is advantages for ratified these amendments but the disadvantages are more than the advantages. So, it is better to keep it as unratified amendments. The silly amendment is The Equal Right Amendments because I think people especially women did not understand what is this amendment agreed about. Women just want their right same as the men, without thinking the pros and cons behind the amendments. When the first time I read the amendments I think this amendment should be ratified by the Constitution but after research, I made about this amendment, I figure out the pro and cons of this amendments. The result is what I think is totally wrong and it came out as a silly amendment. I don’t think any of the amendments are just wrong because if it just wrong there will be no one supported it. Each of the amendments has it own advantages and disadvantages. But when the amendments have more disadvantages than advantages that is why it unratified. There are a lot of lessons that we can learn from this process. Firstly, we as the people, we should think deeply before we support any amendments. This is because it may be sound good at the first but is it really good for us? Think about it first. Think about who will be affected by this amendment if we approve of agree with it. Don’t just think about ourselves, think about the nation as well. Next, the Constitution need to act fair and square before approve the amendment.
