Empire building is a long and tedious work but falling off empire is quicker than building an empire. The British Empire was the largest empire and the most riches the world ever know. British Empire occupies a fifth of the world population and rule over two hundred years by invading country after country. The empire rule overs many country no more than the country of India where the British Empire has ruled over. However it was the effort of merchant within the British east India Company that found in 1559 did take over the country not the British government. They did arrive as traders looking for more place to trade. These did quite from normal and would thwart that their intention was good and peacefully, but over the next 250 years the British presence was more and more adopting in the role of conquerors and governors than merchant looking to trader. Not only would the British Empire has a big effect on India’s history but would have effect on the crown jewel of the British Empire and the western civilization.

The British, the might empire of it times who invade India. The country twice of it size and declare their queen empress of the country which did not impress the local. When the British move in on after taking over the country, they look down them and describe them as dirty rag and treat them at the bottom of the scale. Majority of the local consider the British rule as evil and to drain the country. The mighty attitudes of the British did influence many Indians and give them confidence to unite to drive the British out and achieving independence. Also Indian did adopt the English to communicate with the outside world and add it as their second officially languages.

The British also brought humanitarian efforts to India, these involve vaccination against diseases, clean water supplies and public sanitation. They manage to get rid of suttee and infanticide. The British successful see the destruction thugs and pest on Indian society. Also allow Hindu windows to remarriage and gives charitable aid in the time of famine. In addition they brought over partial education for population to have a chance of learning
