“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”(Anne Frank’s Diary). “If you were not allowed to attend high school would you protest against the government?” That’s what teen activist undertake, they stand up for what is right no matter what the cost is. Teen activism is a remarkable thing. In my opinion I believe that teen activist don’t stand by, they stand up for what is right. Most adults don’t even have the courage to do what these teenagers accomplish at such a young age. These teenagers make a difference in rights, animals, and regular people like you or me. Not teen activist, they don’t care what you think of them, they do the right thing, even when no one is looking. They are so passionate for a cause they believe in it and they don’t let anyone stop them from accomplishing this. Teen Activist don’t expect anything in return for their generosity, they do it for the better. In China, a teenage girl named Zhan Haite was not aloud to go to high school. Instead of going with everyone else and turning the other way and not caring she protested against the government! She got turned down many times however, that didn’t stop her. The words she says as a young teenager, a strong grown up can’t even say. “I have the right to attend school: we are all citizens of the Republic, we have the right to fight for our rights. Each person’s strength is not very small, but very great! Everyone may have to change the world! (Butts 1). This shows you that teenagers think large and blithe. They care for what is right and if you do try to stop these dedicated teenagers it will just make them stronger. Zhan Haite just wanted to go to school and did not think it was right. When they told her she couldn’t register for school, she took her protest to the front of the school registration building. Then she began writing a microblog, posting on a site called Weibo.
