“I Want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people even those who I’ve never met, I want to go on living even after my death!” (from a Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank). This quote has a lot of meaning because she wanted to be remembered and I am now writing and telling about her eighty one years later. Anne Frank is a hero because she was a spirited young Jewish girl that had to go into hiding at the age of thirteen.

The Holocaust has become the worst event in human history but why did it happen? Mein Kampf was written by who many would consider one of the evilest men to walk the earth; a man whose ideas committed one of the worst crimes in all of the man kinds history on this earth. Adolf Hitler with only his voice took the lives of millions of homosexuals, gypsies, blacks, disabled people and most of all Jewish people just for not being a part of what he viewed as the perfect race. Anne Frank is a strong young girl that lived during the Holocaust in Amsterdam, Germany. She lived in a very bad time during the Holocaust which she either had to hide or go to a concentration camp. Anne Frank is a normal girl that should be going to school and not be in hiding from the Nazis and should not have to take the sacrifices of having no friends, no ability to be free and to express her religion. I consider Anne a hero because all the dedication to staying free and not having to be under a dictatorship. No teenage girl should not be told that she cannot be any religion besides what is allowed by Hitler. Hitler made it his goal to get ride of all Jewish people which is something that is very disrespectful and anyone should have the choice to be the religion that they want to be. Anne Frank is a hero because she stood up to the Nazis trying her best to no get caught and to stay strong and to believe what she wants to believe.
