Not only is the thought of viruses scaring off schools from using technology but so is the cost of the whole program. From the initial cost of the computer or tablets to the maintenance that goes into each computer. This can all be very costly and is often a deal breaker when talking about incorporating technology into school systems. In order for the schools to see this as a wise investment they have to have many plans to solve most of the problems that could occur. They are not going to be able to solve all of the problems only with time and more experiments will those problems be fixed. “Schools are “implementing a ‘rent-to-own’ program, so that the book rental fees students once had to pay for textbooks can become rent-to-own- fees for tablets”. (Armstrong 2014) This is a great idea because not only are the students getting the technology they need they are also going to eliminate the need for paper or hard cover books. E-books are becoming super popular and most textbooks are switching to e-copies. Some of the advantages are that it can create a great learning environment for students and can get them motivated to learn more. Also it can save the school on paper costs as well as book costs. School systems have to think of this as an investment, they are going to have to put forth the money before they see the end result. This maybe a hard concept for schools to wrap their heads around, but in the end technology will end up paying for itself. Just think if a school spends the money to incorporate technology and it motivates all the students to have good study habits and the teachers implement interactive study tactics it could raise the school’s test scores and make the school look very
