For example, think about an old person who don’t even know how to type words in the tiny cellphone due to technology increase .Sometimes it’s too hard for these kind of people to type information if someone does not understand the keys on the phone properly. But a phone call is more convenient that does not need typing any character of words which is more helpful for these kind of people you can just take a phone and call direct without figuring out what to write which saves time . Texting enable the user to express something in short words which sometimes it is hard for someone to understand if you are not good in short sentences but phone calling you can just talk exact words without breaking the words in short sentences without breaking them which enable both parties to discuss in a good way without confusion this allows someone to be able to understand the information asked and react on the sport by asking questions and making sure the other persons understands before hanging the phone
Sure cell phones make life easier. No longer do we have to call someone to convey a message, just send a text. It’s convenient to be able to call a number and have the person you're looking for pick up, kind of like a direct line. It Takes out the anxiety of wanting to call someone, but being afraid their parents or siblings, or even their significant other will pick up. Many people are getting rid of landline phones all together because everyone in the family has a cell phone. They are like a handheld person assistant. We can set alarms, set appointmen...
Kluger admits, “When I absolutely must, I take the call, but I don’t do a very good job of concealing my displeasure,” This is an example of how older generations are becoming less and less inept to the use of technology but rather embracing it a little too much. For example, if you are to call a microwave Jenna ration person they are as likely to pick up the phone as a generation X. But if you were to text a generation X they are more likely to call you back instead of texting back. This is because the microwave generation has both personal and technological skills whereas generation X mainly has interpersonal skills rather than the technological skills then you have the flipside where the millennial has neither of these because they grew up attached to technology.

(Siegler) Using phone at the dinner table allow us to look up information and share it with each other, enhancing conversation. Although not all of society
Text messaging has become a norm in our generation, as technology rapidly advances and gives way to more efficient forms of communication in a fast-paced world; and many are skeptical about the influence this new form of interaction is having on our society, especially with our younger generation. David Crystal, a professor at the University of Wales, writes “2b or Not 2b?” in support of text messaging. He insists, despite those who underestimate or negate the beneficial influence text messaging has on language proficiency, that “there is increasing evidence that [texting] helps rather than hinders literacy” and that the fairly recent form of communication has actually been around for a while and “is merely the latest manifestation of the human ability to be linguistically creative and to adopt language to suit the demands of diverse settings. In contrast, Jeffery Kluger argues in “We Never Talk Anymore: The Problem with Text Messaging” that text messaging is rapidly becoming a substitute for more genuine forms of communication and is resulting in difficulty among young peoples of our generation to hold a face-to-face conversation, engage in significant nonverbal expression, and ultimately build effective relationships with family, friends and co-workers. Both writers’ present valid arguments, however, my personal experience with text messaging has led me to agree more with Crystal’s view on the matter. Text messaging is indeed having a positive effect on society by making frequent texters primarily aware of the need to be understood, as well as offering betterment of spelling and writing through practice, and reinventing and expanding on a bygone dimension of our language through the use of rebuses and abbreviations.
Nowadays, more individuals are previous the methodology of making telephone calls and are putting their fingers to great use to texting. Individuals assert that sending a texting is speedier and shabbier than making a call. Yes, if individuals are learned in the craft of messaging, possibly discussion could be speedier than a telephone call and can even be less exorbitant. Accommodation might be a gift, however excessively of a great thing is never perfect. In spite of the fact that telephone calls and messaging are to complete the same task, messaging can have earnest outcomes, for example: absence of true talks, improvement of standoffish conducts, and needed lingual authority discussion.
In addition, the cell phone technology is globally accepted hence it is a uniform medium of communication, making it both fast and efficient in any given community. Moreover, cell phones opened up room for more technological innovations that made it easier to transmit data and to relay information.... ... middle of paper ... ...

The telephone allowed two or more people to speak to each other through a receiver, rather than meeting each other or writing a letter. One advantage of having a cell phone is that its very helpful when a person needs to contact a friend or a family member (9). For example, when someone is lost in a place they have never been in. But now a days people owning a cell phone can never get lost because now phones have a map that tells you where your location is. “We barely have time to pause and reflect these days on how far communicating through technology has progressed. Without even taking a deep breath, we’ve transitioned from email to chat to blogs to social networks and more recently to twitter” (Alan 2007). Communicating with technology has changed in many different ways. We usually “get in touch” with people through technology rather than speaking with them face to face. The most popular way people discuss things, with another individual, is through our phones. Phones have been around way before I was born in 1996, but throughout the years, they have developed a phone called a “smart phone”. The smart phone has all kinds of new things that we can use to socialize with our peers. On these new phones, we can connect with our friends or family on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Technology has also developed Skype, a place you can talk with people on the computer with instant voice and video for hours. The new communication changes have changed drastically from the new advances made in technology through our smart phones, social networking sites, and Skype.
The major purpose of cellphones is to provide an outlet for verbal communication at a distance, and as the generation progresses in the Digital Age, this purpose has shifted
This is especially important to me because I tend to forget about dates and special outings. Texting with my friends or family allows me to go back and view my history in case I miss an important date or I need to get an address to go somewhere. Being on the phone, however, I can try to write down what and where they want me to be but if I don’t remember where I wrote the information down there is no way for me to track back our conversation. Therefore, personally I prefer texting.
Scientific evidence shows that by avoiding the heat waves, cancer and other harmful diseases, is by using handsets to talk on because it does not release that much electromagnetic radiation and does not cause diseases that cell phones cause and use text messaging because text messaging is cheaper and you don’t have to stick to your ear.
