Women in the Business World The business world has been difficult for women. They have struggled to be recognized as equal to men. Women are capable of carrying the same responsibilities as men. Within the past few decades, women have prevailed in some areas of business, but they are nowhere where they should be. The glass ceiling does not just involve women. It also involves minorities. Rather than assume that both men and women should have the same opportunity, the pervasiveness of the myth of masculine ethics is always reviewed with men being more effective with ethical organizational behavior. (Pricilla, & J 2010) Laws are in place for this not to happen, but there is always a way around they law. If people do not know what the law is, how will they know they need to take action. I am sure there are plenty of women that can probably take a business to court and actually win their case. The problem with this is that many of times women do not have the means to take action. Many pregnant women have a hard time finding a job because they employers know sooner or later she will need to take six to eight weeks off from work. They end up looking production because they cannot let her go, so they might fall
