In peoples conversations, the media, and the government terrorism is talked about wherever with whomever. The mind of a terrorist is something... ... middle of paper ... ...tening. Killing the innocent is inhumane and unjustifiable and that is what terrorism is. The impact of terrorism is undeniable. It has impacted people’s lives even if they were not directly affected by the act of terror.
But there is a difference between a criminal and a terrorist. A criminal is after money or drugs, while a terrorist is after the long-term disruption of life in a country, and to attempt to overthrow its leaders. (Kingsley, 13) There are many causes of terrorism, hate, religion, politics, and power. One way to combat terrorism is with a team that is specially designed to go into buildings, planes, or any other place hostages are taken, and rescue the hostages, and neutralize all of the terrorists. This would help not only to prevent terrorism, but save the lives of the hostages.
The CIA and the NSA had the possible resources needed to hunt down and pursue dealing with the threat terrorist cells had towards our country but did not fully use the resources they had. C. We knew about the large network of terrorist cells, we knew about the threat that Osama bin Laden posed to this country, and rather then dealing with the constant small-scale terrorist attacks by preventing them or completely investigating them. In fact during the 1970's the
Westerners brand them as terrorists, they brand themselves as freedom fighters; people argue both ways on this topic. 9/11 was just one of the many effective displays of terror that they can cause among the Western powers. Islam also has interesting teachings, which turns some people into fanatics or zealots; driving them to commit such atrocities. Islamic Fundamentalism is the bad idea of mixing religion with politics, resulting in dictators who hate the U.S and most likely secretly support Al-Qaeda Thus resulting in the West generalizing the Arabic population as just being mindless terrorists. The attacks located at the Benghazi Embassy, another freighting display of power.
Politically, its main function is to intimidate and disorganize the government through fear, so that through these political changes can be achieved” (Taylor 19). The real terrorists of today are the world super powers for attacking other countries for revenge on 9/11 and other terrorist attacks, but these super powers blame other countries for starting it. In recent years, terrorism seems to be at a new high rate, and attacks are more violent than in the past. Many groups operate within a single nation or region. Others have branches and operations in many other countries.
Yoram Schweitzer in "Suicide Terrorism Development & Characteristics," Mark Sedgwick in "Al-Qaeda and the "Nature of Religious Terrorism," and Dr. James Armstrong, all demonstrates that suicide terror attacks are politically motivated even though the perpetrator may use religious symbolism to justifies their acts. Observing areas in the world where terrorism is frequent, especially in the Middle East, it can be argued that groups that engaged in terrorists' activities are those that feel suppressed and taken advantage of by a much greater power. Thus, terrorism, particularly suicide terror is prevalent in areas where systems of gross injustice seem to exist. Therefore, the actual use of terrorism by non-state actors is a tactic aimed at polarizing the population in their favor. By killing people in mass number, they are attempting to take away the view that only the state can legitimately kill – thus undermining the state authority.
This made it hard for these factions to cause global mayhem, especially in countries like the United States (Saleem and Thomas 15). Nevertheless, the fact that terrorism factions could infiltrate such a superpower indicates that the factions have achieved a new dimension and motivation. More importantly, they are able to both threaten top government officials and even attack others in various countries across the world. The main agenda of terrorism faction is to instill fear in the hearts of men and thus they are a plague that needs to be eliminated using any means possible. It is therefore the responsibility of all governments to root out terrorism factions using any means possible, including targeted attacks on sus... ... middle of paper ... ....
Brett Daniel defines these two in a simpler way; strategy is often called the ‘what we want to accomplish’ while tactics is referred to as the ‘how we are going to accomplish it.’ From the above definition, terrorism is a tactic used by a group of individuals to advance their beliefs and gain more power within a state (strategy). CONCEPT OF TERRORISM Since the 9/11 event, terrorism has been becoming more rampant and violent in nations of the world. Getting to the bottom and providing a solution has also been increasingly difficult and one of the main reasons is the lack of a confound definition. “Terrorism in the most widely accepted contemporary usage of term, is fundamentally and inherently political. Now sit back and read about some no good terrorists. Terrorism has caused war, safer national security, and safer broken families within the world. One thing that terrorists have caused and are causing and will cause is war throughout the world. For example, these terrorists are able to get weapons of mass destruction, the united states is sure of where they these weapons but it is not a good feeling knowing that they have these weapons. What will the military do if they use these weapons on america? The most well known terrorist group is known as al-Qaeda, these guys are like kings in the terrorist world.
Additionally, terrorism can be considered a conspiracy which might aim to a big population and create the terror to threaten the innocent citizens and the government of a country. The terrorists in some countries attacked others places due to the purpose of weapon, territory, oil, nuclear power and many others. In some Asian countries such as China, Philippine, Malaysia, etc., the citizens have suffered t... ... middle of paper ... ... terrorism in those areas is still running and waiting for the right chance to attack. The topic of terrorism will never end because it might be the part of political problems in many countries. The deaths, the damage and the loss caused by the terrorist attacks will also be in our hearts.
