Erica’s heart beating like crazy, “Terriana-- don’t tell me you’re gone.” As tears start to cover her eyes, she starts to believe that everything she cared for was gone. Silence, complete silence, it’s like half her heart had faded away. It’s 11 in the morning, lunch has just started and drama has already begun. School, a dreadful place where nobody ever wanted to be. Terriana, known as the most caring, sensitive and the person that could always get picked on, a cancer. Terriana didn’t want to, the pain in her voice told it all. She knew that if she let him come in he’ll try and ask what happened, beat up the kid, and then try to make me laugh. He was the most protective dad that anyone could ever have, if there’s a problem he would never let it go until it was fixed. Yet she didn’t want him to care, she never did. She was used to everything happening to her and she got used to it. She cared more for everyone else than she did herself, always putting herself last. I’m sorry for being such an emotional person, I’m a mistake. I cry too much and I probably annoy you. You deserve a better daughter, not me.” All these thoughts rushed into her head. She felt useless. She didn’t want her dad to care, she just wanted to suffer because she thought she deserved it. “Terriana, sleep. Get some rest, you need it. We can talk in the morning. I love you more than anything, you’re one of the best things that happened in my life.” Jovan said anxiously. Once Terriana woke up, she got ready and left immediately. She wanted to get distant from Jovan because she wanted him not to care. She didn’t want anybody to care about her. When she finally reached school, she avoided everyone. When lunch arrived, she sat with her normal group, headphones in and just complete silence. Everyone knew that this was nothing like her especially Travis, her other best friend. “Talk to me.” He demanded. “What’s wrong? Why are you like this?” Tears start to roll down her cheek. She didn’t want to speak at all, because if she did all it would do was make her cry even more. She hated being such an emotional person, she thought it made her look weak.
