If a girl turns 16 and her whole entire family forgets does it matter? Well, that's the situation for Samantha, who wakes up on the morning of her birthday to find that her whole entire family forgot. "I can't believe this, they fucking forgot my birthday" Good morning P & C the film I am reviewing today is called sixteen candles a film directed by John Hughes. This film is about one of the worst things that could ever happen to a girl on her sweet sixteenth. Starring Molly Ringwald as Samantha a bright-eyed teenager. In which her whole entire family completely forgot her birthday in the chaos of her airheads sister's wedding. This film engages young people because it captures issues and problems of teenagers in which makes the film relatable.
Adolescence is the time of development and mental advancement that happens between the onset of puberty and the fulfillment of physical and emotional development. Despite the fact that young ladies experience more dramatic physical change throughout adolescence than do young men, they have a tendency to achieve puberty prior and take less time to achieve development. Immaturity in girls start around the age of eleven and proceeds through about age sixteen. In youthful men, the same period starts about the age of thirteen and proceeds through about age eighteen. After about age fourteen, guys are, normal, heavier and taller than females. The motion picture film Thirteen, directed by Catherine Hardwicke introduces a correct and important point of view on the post-millennial adolescent experience and also displays many issues teens face in today’s society such as peer pressure, teenage sexuality, and drug use,
Twilight just like the film it moves up the jagged slopes extinguishing the last fires of hope from anyone that sees it. Twilight is just like a diamond in the rough you see a small shining light on its surface but sadly once you watch it you will see this film is black to the core. Like most things beauty is only skin deep.
The audience for this text is for a wide range a people and family. This movie is a great family movie as it shows determination and the will to move beyond the past. Especially for those that perceive they don’t belong or are passively rejected. The director has used a inspiring film to persuade humans to move beyond there past. To forgive and forget.
The book The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian is about a boy named Arnold Spirit who is trying to find his way in his new school and his life. The movie Smoke Signals is about two young men named Thomas and Victor who travel all over the place to go to Arizona to go pick up Victor's dad ashes. First thing I'm going to talk about is alcoholism and abusement, second will be friendship, and third about how both of the boys love to play basketball.
things in this day and age. It is also a film that does not really
American teenagers are often criticized for being irresponsible and immature. Some in the older generation will also state that kids are taking too long to move out of the house. These views of young adults are pessimistic and demeaning to the current generation. While the adolescent stage has been extended, American kids are taking an ample amount of time to accept the responsibilities of becoming an adult.
In any film, filmmakers use the beginning to expose the audience to its style and organization along with storyline, society, and characters of the film. The ending evokes emotions from the audience and drives home the essence of the film. Within the two films High Noon and Don’t Look Now, the parallels in the beginnings and the endings of the films exhibit purposeful framing that speak to the outcomes of the films dependent on the characters’ actions. The favorable beginning and ending of High Noon contrasts with the tragic beginning and ending of Don’t Look Now, highlighting the importance of a strong set of values, and the dangers of being consumed by your own thoughts.

The primary thesis of such a mainstream movie is delineation of two situations of human life. One is a loner, Harold, twenty year old, who has
In conclusion, I liked this movie because it showed women of very different backgrounds coming together, accepting each other, and becoming close friends during a crisis moment. In reality of today’s society, I saw that women are jealous against each other instead of working together. This movie shows the joy of overcoming differences and forming bonds with diverse women. In a very simple term, the director reminds us of the unique book of life that we each have. The other message is how the older are separate from society, because of their limitations and age. The older ladies in this movie shows us and other older people how to bloom again, and relive. In this movie they share their life, their tales, and their lessons from the past with us to change our typical mentality about older people.
"Cold, shiny, hard, PLASTIC," said by Janice referring to a group of girls in the movie Mean Girls. Mean Girls is about an innocent, home-schooled girl, Cady who moves from Africa to the United States. Cady thinks she knows all about survival of the fittest. But the law of the jungle takes on a whole new meaning when she enters public high school and encounters psychological warfare and unwritten social rules that teen girls deal with today. Cady goes from a great friend of two "outcasts", Janice and Damien to a superficial friend of the "plastics", a group of girls that talks about everyone behind their back and thinks everyone loves them. Adolescent egocentrism and relationships with peers are obviously present throughout the film. I also noticed self worth in relationships, parenting styles, and juvenile delinquency throughout Mean Girls.
You’re dreaming and you see your birthday from last year. You see the giant feast your mom made. Creamy mashed potatoes, just the way you like it, juicy roasted chicken with your favorite seasonings, and little green peas, your favorite. A giant mountain of gifts awaits you in the living room, and after that grand meal a giant cake with two tiers with just the right amount of frosting is next. As you start to take a bite, you wake up. For a split second you forget. You forget that your dad lost his job, your brother died working in a mine, you have no money, no food, and that you nearly lost your entire head of hair at the factory. Then the deep growl howling from your stomach snaps you back
This week I have watched Silver Linings Playbook. I love this movie. It is my absolute most favorite movie that I have ever watched. In my opinion it is a very funny and romantic movie. I have seen this movie before I had watched it with my class. I did not expect such explicit language. I also didn’t expect Pat, the main character, to go on about Nicki for so long. I also did not expect for Pat and Tiffany to get together in the end, since he was going on about Nicki for the whole movie. I did not read any reviews about this movie before I had watched it for the first time. I don’t like reading reviews on movies, because there could be a spoiler alert in them. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who hasn’t seen it. This is a really
This isn't a movie you could ever label, it's not a movie you could ever judge by its cover. Beneath that rough exterior is a movie that reaches out to you, and shows you what is true and shows you what is real. This movie you could say is dark, you could say it's enlightening, but I hate to label something that passes beyond typical labels. Most movies have some background or history in another, but this movie holds no bases, it's a pure story of truth. This is not a movie you've seen before, not a type of movie you'll probably ever see again, and not a type of movie that you'll watch ever again. Yes I said it, you'll watch it once, and that'll be it. The movie is so much like life that it comes and goes through yours, and once its gone, you realize that you've got one in front of you.
