Over the years and even now technology is making us lazy. Practically every aspect of our life has been surrounded by the use of technology and its advancements. Nowadays, food has become easier to prepare. There’s no need of standing in the kitchen all day anymore. With the convenience of a microwave, it has made our life a little easier. In fact, you can microwave a frozen dinner in just thirty-minutes. Many people have been exposed to the less stressful and convenient way of preparing meals. For these reasons it has resulted and leads us to be lazy and obesity. Meanwhile, fast food restaurants are one of the most common uses that most people depend on. According to Christopher Gussa, “It is the nation’s number one causes for obesity related diseases” (Microwave Ovens: The convenience of microwaves). Social Networks are also among one of the many reasons why we are lazy socially. Instead of going out and meeting people physically, yet we’ve become more relaxed meeting people from the comfort of our chairs. Today we know that we can now grasp necessities of life with ease. Most people know and experience the many inventions that have made us lazy socially, as well as mentally. Yet, physically inventions have put a toll on our health. For instance, Microwaves has brought about major health threats. Yes, microwaves have made everyone’s life a lot easier, a lot faster and more convenient. However, recent studies have shown that it may not only impact the nutrition of the food it also may be dangerous to those who eat the food (Dr. J. D. Decuypere). Microwaves help speed up the heating process for food so that we can either get more done with our time or relax a little more. For this fact many constantly depend on a fast and conveni... ... middle of paper ... ...thing. Social networks shut off people from the real world. Although, social networks are good advantages, they do not take the place of the effectiveness of a true and genuine relationship between two individuals. In reality, I believe that as the advancements of technology increase over the years, people will continue to be lazy and depend more on them. This will continue to cause our brains to be inactive and our laziness to become more active. There’s so much that we as people can do without the use of advancement technology, but as society continues to tolerate technology we will continue to use it. I agree with Robert M. Pirsig, “Technology presumes there’s just one right way to do things and there never is”. There is always another way to do something, but it is our choice to want to do it. Works Cited
