It’s extremely ludicrous going out in public and counting endless amount of teenagers and young adults being chained to their cellular devices rather than facing whom they are hanging out with. Technology appears to grow and expand world widely making it difficult for people to not notice the impact it’s building on their daily lives. Many people do not realize that technology ruins relationships with others and a person’s range of abilities and skills. Due to technology, social skills continue to vanish; it eliminates literacy skills, physical engagement, and non-technological resources. Literacy skills are needed to get around in our society by reading and writing. However, with technology promoting social media, people lose memory on proper ways to construct sentences and read, due to shortened comments and emojis. Social engagement is great when people are distanced from each other and are in need of communication, whereas it’s not great to engage socially because it’s quicker through technology. People lose the precious value of being able to physically engage with family and friends because technology decides to make it better to engage using emojis. It’s very saddening to eliminate the skill a person has of being able to engage physically because if technology was to ever crash down, awkwardness and shyness would occur resulting in no engagement at all. It’s great having technical resources as well as having the ability to find resources from printed books and engagement, but with technology expanding, people refuse to use their skills of problem solving. Technology seems to eliminate the skills people have been practicing to excel at a young age, which people should continue to let them run. The way by doing that is people limit technology. It can be very beneficial to our society and our skills if it’s done. Literacy skills can become regained if people decide to purchase journals to write daily thoughts and accomplishments. After writing complete sentences on the journals, people will see improvements which will allow for them to be prepared for the real world and society. Physical engagement can also improve relationships, build better business, and make teamwork flow at a better rate if technology is ignored.
