The contemporary American family is one that shows a picture perfect lifestyle of happiness and normalcy, but this normalcy can be challenged by anything. The present war our country is engaged in is one factor that has changed the lives of many families since it began. Husbands, sons, and sometimes even mothers and daughters are leaving their homes to fight in the war with Iraq. If the traditional American family consists of a husband, wife, and two or more children living in suburbia, my family could once have easily represented it. However, when our country went to war, my dad’s military-career transferred him thousand’s of miles across the ocean disrupting almost every aspect of our once, near perfect household.
The Great Depression changed lives for the worst. After the stock market crash people lost money and unemployment raised to over 20%. This caused people to have no jobs and not able to support their families. If they didn't have work then they couldn't eat anything because they couldn't afford it. This happened because stocks dropped and businesses closed resulting in job elimination. Some things that allowed people to live without jobs were things the government set up. First they gave banks time to fix issues and Roosevelt gave fireside chats to reassure confidence. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation then insured the banks giving people faith that money would be safe and not all lost. The government also set up programs. The Public Works Administration provided jobs for unemployed by building things like bridges and power plants. Social Security also allowed elderly and disabled to have income allowing them not to be so

When I think about the benefits of using proprietary databases, I immediately start to think of the pros and cons that are associated with a proprietary database. The pros to me that separate proprietary databases from public resources are having exclusive access based on memberships and more authentic, original, as well as quality information than public resources. The proprietary databases search system is different from the public search engines that most of us use on a daily basis, such as, Google, Bing, and Yahoo to name a few. Unlike those popular named search engines that allow us to type in whatever we desire, proprietary databases limits us to key words and short phrases; which actually pinpoints searches more accurately without the extra information that we do not wish to view or pick through to get to our original thing that we were searching for.

Database Applications The company that I work for makes extensive use of databases and other applications that are based on database technologies and theories. The extensive use of databases throughout the entire organization, in theory, will save time, money, and manpower. My company uses several different types of databases and different database applications based on the estimated size of the database once all the data has been entered and allowing for future growth. The company standard for the majority of databases is FileMaker Pro by FileMaker. The company also makes uses of other databases such as Oracle and Lotus Approach, although I am not very familiar with the latter.
Introduction Virtualization has become an essential service that the IT department has offered to Access strategies internal users as a service. The result of this initiative has been a cost saving. As a result of the success, the company has mandated this approach to be adopted for our remote offices. However, our business need for expansion has resulted in the need for adopting new security strategies to protect our virtual infrastructure. These new requirements will require us to evaluate our current infrastructure for weakness and to implement policies, new products, or approaches to better serve our customers.
