Tattoos in the work place
Today in America there is less problems having tattoos in the work place. As tattoos proliferate, some employers’ are becoming more accepting of body ink peeking through work place attire but the level of acceptance varies depending the industry and the corporate cultural. The work force is more interested in your educational skills and skills for the job. Tattoo policies can vary from one office to the next the argument being that tattoos and certain hair do’s or certain garments can be a very big distraction to many coworkers and customers. Depending on how visible and how offensive the tattoo is. When it comes down to tattoos in the workplace it just really come down to the type of job you want in the work field and the environment you would like to work in.
If freedom and self-expression is important to you than you should make it a priority to look for employment that will allow tattoos but if you want to have a good career keep in mind should I get a tattoo or should I not or at least get a tattoo that can be easily covered form other peoples view. If you want to express yourself through body art, that is fine; however, you may be creating a roadblock for yourself in your career. When it comes down to your job searching and advancing your career, it’s definitely important to decide what your priorities are and which ones aren’t and how they will have a major impact on your success. The content of your tattoo will play a major role in getting accepted for a job interview. Is your tattoo a heart on your arm or do you have violent words on your neck. Your tattoos are going to affect how the employer looks at you.

Regardless of how much experience you have or the skills you need for the job, if you aren’t the right fit for a company because of your appearance. Employers have every right to not hire you. Depending on some positions, appearance is very important to employers and their reputation. If you’re only focusing on yourself, you’re probably going to have a very hard time finding a job because you are limiting your options. So if you have tattoos or you’re considering getting inked. You may want to think twice about how you want to present yourself as a professional.
Interview of a lady that landed a job and her tattoos doesn’t distract her work environment. Her one boss isn’t critical about her tattoo but her other boss won’t comment on how it makes her feel.
