House Cleaners
This group of people constitutes the largest percentage of this campaign’s target audience. House cleaners are given the responsibilities of doing laundry and general house cleaning activities. The target audience for the campaign should also include house cleaning companies, which are often contacted by busy house owners to do cleaning for them. Consequently, most of them are likely to contribute toward the accumulation of wastes, which are generated during laundry work. Through a well-planned social marketing, house cleaners can be empowered on how best to implement the zero waste philosophy in their daily activities. As a result, this strategy will enable them to reduce as much waste as possible in their houses and even create good working relationships with their employers.
Office Workers
This target audience may include managers, secretaries, auditors, people who deliver mails, stationary sellers, and other office staff. Such individuals handle various office items, including staples, CD’s, stickers, plastic pens, polythene envelopes, and mails. If they do not adopt the zero waste strategy, this target audience is likely to accumulate a lot of office waste. Consequently, office workers need thorough information on various zero waste strategies to enable them to utilize green or biodegradable office items.

As a result of inefficient social marketing strategies, most people have failed to understand that the zero waste philosophy mainly targets the reduction of household refuse. As a result, they generate almost 12 million tones of household wastes annually, yet only 25 percent of this garbage is diverted from landfills. Although the public is aware of this fact, most people do not know how to prevent the accumulation of such waste. It is evident that most waste comes from the kitchen, laundry, and other house cleaning chores. For example, a lot of water, energy, time, money, and materials are wasted daily during cooking, washing, shopping, and other household activities.
