The involvement of parents in the school is a necessary one for their children to have a higher rate of success in school. How educated the parent is, what are their social class and involvement are important factors that do help develop a student’s behavior at school. Issues like social class give students an upper hand that will increase their likelihood of achieving at school. While at PBIS I did with some students that had some signs that there was neglect at home. One in particular was always drowsy and exhausted, and had mixed stories of whether he was staying at a hotel or other locations. It is difficult to state whether he was dealing with neglect, but his complicated home life was affecting his academic learning.
