Computer technology had paved the way for new, innovative instructional measures in the science classroom that have benefitted the accomplishment of learning outcomes and student engagement within the lesson. These measures have proven beneficial to overall teacher pedagogy and the ability to facilitate learning that leaves a lasting impact. At present, we are living in the Information Age and technology has come to dominate the forefront of every field in education. There are many new strategies and approaches that follow the implementation of science as well as mathematic concepts in real life. The devices provide an opportunity to engage an inclusive approach creating learning communities, accountability and assessment systems. Teachers do not command the learning experience, but serve as a stabilized fixture to support the activity of students while in the midst of study. The students, therefore, take on an exploratory role and tangibly manipulate information to discover valuable solutions to academic inquiries as well as societal problems. This particular research article will impact my teaching because student engagement is an issue that must be a priority when considering the use of technology in my own classroom. It is not enough to have access to these devices, but to integrate them in a way that will be become beneficial for the entire learning experience and the ones are a part of it. Additionally, as a teacher, it is up to my style and purpose of use that will determine whether the computer technology is most efficiently used. It is my responsibility to develop an intentional plan to address the academic content while pushing the students to seek answers beyond the surface of what is being taught. STEM requires in-depth analysis and probing in order to seek answers and solutions. There are processes in place. However, through using the technology in exploratory learning, the students can seek out answers in an environment that information can be accessed instantly and shared collaboratively in the classroom.
