In all honesty, I believe that everyone has some prejudices. This also includes me, I believe that I have some prejudices that originated from the media and the culture that I have encountered. They could of also have originated from my parents since they are a bit old school in their beliefs. I believe that I could attempt to get rid of some of these prejudices by meeting various types of people from different backgrounds and cultures. I could also study the different types of cultures and learn something logistic about their history and origin instead of just basing my opinion off something that I’ve heard. Having these prejudices do not affect me completely since they are just something that I think, I do not entirely act upon them. That is why prejudices in my opinion do not affect me greatly. Of course they might be involved in the beginning especially during first impressions since I do not entirely know somebody therefore I would attempt to gather information in a process called retrieval of the past memories I have with a certain type of person or group. People could be persuaded or the presence of others could affect their decisions or behavior. There are different types of terms that could help support this. Especially by Social Psychologist, they could argue that conformity, social facilitation, central route, the mere exposure effect and various of other types of situations that could help support the belief that the human mind can be changed easily. I believe that if the morals or beliefs of humans are created by being surrounded by others, then they can, without a doubt, change their minds easily.
