In America sports are a tradition. We have a wide variety of sports from Abseiling to Yoga, all of which are physical. Today we are going to talk about one of my favorite sports…...Soccer. Soccer is a very physical sport that can be played year round with the proper attire. To play soccer you have to stay healthy and drink a lot of water. To stay healthy you have to eat a proper diet. A proper diet consist mainly of fruit and vegetables. Plenty of bread, rice, potatoes, pasta and other starchy foods. Also some meat, fish, eggs, beans and other non-dairy sources of protein. When I play sports I usually eat bananas and foods that have a lot of protein.The reason you should drink a lot of water is to prevent dehydration. To help prevent dehydration, it’s common for many athletes to drink large amounts of fluids before, during and after competing. During the summer soccer is played outside on a soccer field, such as the one shown in this picture. Some time in the summer when it’s too hot the officials will move the game to an indoor soccer field, same as the one you would play on in the winter. Indoor soccer fields help keep players cool in the summer and help keep them warm enough to play in the winter. Indoor soccer was created by two different countries in the 1990s so that players can play in the winter.
