Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks has fought for the African-American civil rights and against racism, however their legacy did not succeed as blacks are still living in a prejudiced society. According to an article by CBC News, Montreal singer Freddie James was driving in West Island when he was pulled over by a police officer. James was demanded for his car registration and was ignored as to why he was pulled over. The police tried to arrest him aggressively even though James wasn't trying to resist. James was fined $162 for failure to provide identification although James had offered to show his ID.
