It happens all the time that someone makes a loud conversation in a bus or store and annoys other people. At schools the distraction may even be greater than public places. Students that carry phones with them in classes can cause distraction among the other students because sometimes they forget to turn off their phones... ... middle of paper ... ...safety and they can cause the privacy be taken away. Lately, cellphones have become a big issue for schools and they have a big role on learning process. Teachers argue that cellphones are distraction in classrooms and they should be banned.
87% of K-12 teachers believe that "today’s digital technologies are creating an easily distracted generation with short attention spans. Many students in class may use the tablets as an advantage of doing whatever they want, and can also distract many students from their priority and work that they have to do. It states in procon.org that students have new available excuses, including: "the tablet broke/froze," "I forgot the tablet at home so I can't do schoolwork today," and "I couldn't find my charger." These excuses can cause trouble and will be harder from teachers to teach students when they never did their schoolwork, so the students didn’t get to practice on their own. When tablets overrule textbooks there is no telling what will happen to students while in school.
Computers are negatively impacting our students in countless ways; the internet has conveniently made plagiarism a part of many students academic lives, they have opened numerous new windows for distractions from homework, and are diminishing students social skills. In David Gelernter’s essay, Computers Cannot Teach Children Basic Skills, he argues that computers are unnecessary in the classroom for children in grades k-12. Gelernter argues that computers should not be used as an educational tool because of ineffective software; they are being overused, and are replacing real teaching. He believes computers are both aiding and hindering our educational system; with supervised computer use and better programs our students will reap the benefits without becoming dependent on the technology. This widespread computer problem is affecting our young students who are our future leaders.
There are multiple examples of students using their cell phones during class time to communicate their thoughts, images of their environment or dangerous crimes. In addition, the percentage of students with cellphones now soars to about 80% (Ban). This highly increases the chance for students to have a cell phones on them during school. Cell phones can also be harmful to students during class, taking them into another world of technology, separated from the classroom, and turning them down a road of decisions they never intended on doing. Overall, cell phones alter classroom learning in a negative way, and should be banned from use in the classroom at all schools.
Lack Of Education Cell phone is the main cause of distraction in class. During a lesson, students who use cell phone in class will get distracted and also they waste their time instead of understanding the lesson. Consequently, they will receive a low grade and get failure. Not only students who use their cell phones will get distracted, but also rest students in class will be influenced by students who use cell phones in class. Some students annoy other students by texting or sending message to them, so they cannot concentrate on teacher 's lecture and get a low grade as well.
Because Vishal focus more on technology then on this schoolwork and he also said that he blame digital media for his bad grades. All in all, multitasking can negatively impact or change students studying habits by focusing on other things. For example, if a person get a text message, while he/she doing homework right way they want to check it. I think students should stay one tasks at a time instead of doing so many things at the same time. Student cannot stay focus on one thing and put higher frustration on their brain.
Students are always on top of today technology. They want the latest model phone and tablet. Students can get distracted when their devices buzz and beep constantly. They can’t focus on what they should be focus in which are school work. Richtel claims that “Several recent studies show that young people tend to use home computers for entertainment, not learning and that this can hurt school performance, particularly in low-income families.
This rapid change could potentially be harmful to adolescents and society as a whole. As a result of the increased use of technology throughout the years, society has become lazy, dependent, and unable to effectively think without the aid of a technological device. In many ways, modern technology has had the effect of making us work harder, just to stay in the same place. Technology is becoming integrated into school systems rapidly all around the world. Though many believe this will positively effect the student’s education, it will more than likely create a technological dependency that the student will retain throughout his or her educational career.

Yet, our concerns are directed as to how technology affects students? “One effect of technology is that Millennials will exhaust themselves looking for information electronically before they will seek out and ask an authority figure. (Espinoza 31) Technology makes students less self-sufficient. Students are working less harder because they are becoming immobilized by the computer.
