I sat at the table reading the paper at the table as Póilín and Sonas ate their breakfasts. Jack had wanted to make them sleep in the garage, but I had insisted on them sleeping inside with us. Jack had laid the dog beds in the living room, but Sonas had ended up in bed with me. She slept curled into my side with her small head using my arm as a pillow. As I munched on a bowl of cereal I looked through the ads for a part time job around here. There wasn't much beside a waitress at a diner in La Push and a cashier at the grocery store. I almost didn't hear Jack as he came down the hallway. "I told you you're going to school, your not going to work." He glared at and I glared back. "That's way I'm looking at the part time jobs. I can work after school and it will bring a little extra money." Jack's glare softened now. "Sorry." He mumbled and took the seat next to me, pouring …show more content…
Póilín, suí!" I apologized and made Póilín sit before turning to face the boy that I had tripped over. As I looked at the boy I realized he hadn't understood a word I said. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention." I said and the boys confusion melted from his face as he stood up from his spot on the sand. He was huge! Almost as big a Jack, but with more defined muscle and dark skin. "It's okay, I'm Seth. I don't think I've seen you around here before." He had an easy smile on his face as he held out his hand for me to shake. "I'm Aideen and no, you haven't. My brother and I just moved here two days ago." Seth nodded. "That's cool, you'll be going to school at Forks, right?" I nodded. "Who's this guy?" Seth reached down to pet Póilín, but Póilín let out a growl and showed his teeth as Seth's hand came toward him. I grabbed the boy's hand. "I wouldn't do that. Póilín, ciúin!" Póilín stopped his growling and Seth looked confused again. "What was that?" I chuckled at his confusion. "Póilín, here was trained with Gaelic commands." Seth nodded, but still seemed
“Well, I would try to get them to stop, but if that didn’t work I would go help him.”
"I'm Anthony" he extended his hand out to the shy boy, which Ian took gladly.
The sound of ice swerving in the crystal clear glass echoed through my ear. I was at the Old Susy’s place regretting the decision I took for Lennie. I drank until noon and went back to the ranch. As I entered, I noticed everyone was looking at me with deep concern in their eyes. I wasn't in the mood to talk so I went straight to my bed. I heard Candy’s footsteps inch closer to me.
Jeremy began to roar. “This is my party, my party, and I’ve never seen you before
"I can't stay with you if you're going to do this," Jimin shoots back. It's an empty threat, it's always empty.
“Oh nothing just rid of him since he was in my way of becoming an Alicorn.” He menacingly smiles at Luna, “ And now it’s time to get rid of my only other enemy.”
The night before, I didn’t practice my English so I knew what to say. By now, I knew most of the words, so I would just let my heart guide me. Besides, my cramped old house, which is actually just a junky garage in an abandoned alley, is too small to let out my feelings. Once I got to school after a cold walk in the snow, I placed myself by her locker and waited. Fourteen minutes had gone by, and still no sign of Lily. I only had a minute to get to class now, so I hurriedly collected myself and ran to my locker. I was disappointed, knowing that without Lily here, it would be the hardest day of school. I opened my locker and to my surprise a note fell to the floor. I quickly picked it up and gazed at the neat handwriting that clearly spelled my name.
“Hello, you must be Anna. I’m Adasser, and it is a pleasure to meet you!” he exclaimed
“Nice to meet you in person Mr. Rike” Kate cooed up at him, brown eyes dancing as she shook his
“Don’t yell at your teacher, young lady!” he firmly reprimanded back. “You were on trial, why aren’t you in
“You’re just afraid because you know that you can’t beat me, and you know it would prove that boys are better than girls at everything!” Jack yelled
“Thanks, you too, uh, Todd.” I say as I look at the tag on his
It was late and the house was silent. Tom came home from work late a lot, so the silence was expected. By this time, Marie was in bed and his dinner, the evening newspaper, and the mail were waiting for him on the table. Tom closed the door and walked down the short hall to the kitchen. Everything was set on the table. He quickly looked through the mail and went over to the bin to throw an unwanted advertisement away. Tom noticed a crumpled piece of his wife’s stationary inside. He picked it up and opened it.
His eyes got bigger and the sadness it held was so heartbreaking. I am a complete idoit I hurt him. I hurt my sweet Charles. I stepped closer to him only a couple inches away.
