Many Christians have gone astray from the path of god causing many problems within the religion and especially the races surrounding it. “Our job is to struggle along with everybody else and collaborate with them in the difficult, frustrating task of seeking a solution to common problems, which are entirely new and strange to us all.” (Merton, 2013, p. 214). This quote talks about how it is our job to struggle and collaborate in order to find solutions to new and strange problems. This relates very much in my major Accounting because there are going to be many financial problems that are going to occur to a company and they are going to look to me to solve them. These problems might be new and completely strange however, I have to find a way to correctly solve them. This connects to the mission of Seton Hill because I will be thinking critically in order to completely solve new problems that might arise during my accounting career. The Ins and Outs of Ethics is a Business Week Online magazine article from May 13, 2001, it was written by Eric Wahlgren. In the article he interviews Michael Rion, the author of The Responsible Manager. Rion is also a leading business ethics advisor who consults many Standard and Poor’s 500 companies. In the article Wahlgren asks Rion why it is important for businesses to have a high ethical standard. In his responses, Rion explains that effective organizations utilize ethics programs to clearly define ethical expectations, resolve ethical issues quickly, and to remove moral constraints. Additionally, employees who understand how to deal with ethical dilemmas will also be more productive and have strong core values to guide them. Some of the key ideas that Hartman discussed about in this article were revolved around the concept of teaching and defining what a good character is. Hartman started off his article by talking about generosity, honesty, courage and respect. Hartman also talked about how business ethics courses can help improve students’ character by helping them think about their values (Hartman 69). The Christian religion, like all other religions has its strengths and weaknesses in our modern society. Perhaps the strengths out weight the weaknesses as this is one of the largest religions in the world. Hundreds of people follow the Catholic/Christian religion yet still a greater number follow yet other religions. Perhaps this is because they see the weaknesses or perhaps it is simply because their parents have taught them that it is a sin to follow this religion.
The decline of Christianity in Europe did not happen spontaneously. It was a process which took place over many years. Further, it would be impossible to identify any one trigger for the decline. Numerous factors have combined to erode Christianity in Europe. Changing political parties, with varying tolerance towards Christianity, have been a major factor in the decline. In addition, new ideas about the ability and goodness of man to create a good society, without the need for God, served to undermine Christianity. Finally, the failure of the church to respond firmly to the crises of the modern world significantly accelerated its decline. While many of these factors have roots going back as far as the seventeenth century, many came to a head in the twentieth century.

Why do Christians leave the faith? Is it because church gets boring or a force of habit? Do they see other Christians acting the same as the lost people? Or is it because their questions are very complex and cannot be answered? For years people have asked these questions, and they have not found the source of the problem. Many people believe that the church as a whole has failed to do its job of containing members. This may contribute to the problem, but it is definitely not the only source. The source of this problem is somewhere in the mind of the believer that decided to turn away. One day a thought or an occurrence triggered them to turn away from their previous faith. If people ever want to find the source of this situation they will have to start by asking deeper more mature questions like: Do other religions look satisfying? Are other sources having a greater influence on believers? Is a “virus” in the church causing people to turn away from Christ? These are examples of the more intense questions that need to be asked, and the answers to these questions need to be dissected and taken piece by piece to help solve this magnificent problem. Through a series of investigations and interviews we can find the answer to why Christians leave the faith, and why most leave during their teenage years.
The teaching of Jesus Christ is hard for some cultures to grasp. Humanity is prone to question everything. How people use their worldview plays a key role. Most Christian accept the Gospel message at it full value and yet with teaching from a church they only accept part of the message. Now it seems like progressively that people are turning away from God. Since people cannot see Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God they just suppress prier teaching from the Bible.
