Set It Off occurred in Los Angeles, California in 1996. The film opens where Vivica A. Fox is a teller in a bank that is being looted by a posse of outfitted men. A while later, Detective Strode questions Cleo and takes her to the police headquarters to take place in a lineup by the witness. Stoney gets furious at Frankie and T.T. about the occurrence at the motel; Cleo arrives and suggests they should rob another bank or they'll be in prison the following morning. With their cash gone, the ladies victimize another bank, which happens to be the same bank where Keith, Stoney's partner, works. Before they make it out of the bank, Strode and his accomplice arrive and ordered them to drop their weapons, yet as they do, a bank security guard shoots Tisean, mortally injuring her. Stoney and Cleo open fire and killed the security guard and carry Tisean to the getaway auto with Frankie in the driver's seat. Tisean dies in Stoney's arms, in route to a hospital, the remaining three ladies choose to part up. Cleo is the second of the ladies to be killed after the police caught up to her. The police soon make up for lost time to Frankie and request her to surrender.
