The terminology originated from the church. It is clearly demonstrated in the ministry of Jesus and is expected from his followers to carry on the mission. Jesus demonstrated this mission when he fed the five thousand, when he healed the sick, and even when he transformed the stormy atmosphere. The base of servant hood is making the lives of others simpler. Above we see Jesus and Apostle Paul both demonstrated this quality in the midst of a stormy atmosphere. They both showed a sense of confidence. As servants we carry the responsibility of helping others. We strongly focus on assisting others and making it easy for them. It is important that we acknowledge that servant hood starts in your heart. One has to have the love of God in their heart to sincerely carry out the commission. The following is when Jesus calms the stormy atmosphere. It states, “23Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” 26He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” (Zondervan (2011-01-09). Holy Bible (NIV)
