“I am the star this is my year... my game,” she thought to herself; “the fate of this game is all up to you”. This was this biggest, most important game of her life. Scouts watching, many fans cheering for her and the rest of the seniors on the team. The nerves were building up. She was shaking from head to toe. She kept telling herself “It’s the same as any other game, you’ve got this Thia”! Truth is... it wasn’t. It was her senior game. The very last game she would ever play on her home field in her high school career. A lot of emotions were going through her mind, fear, sadness, happiness and excitement. The whistle blow the ball was moving and she was ready. All she could she was the ball focusing on watching the players every move. The girls foot planted, Thia was ready. The girl shoots and..... THIA SAVES IT. Dives and catches it. Covered in to dirt and grass stain already. Shot after shot She was saving it. By half time the score was 1-1, tied right up. Time for the senior recognition. The seniors got their flowers and gifts, hugs from everyone and many many pictures with both the team and their parents. Over time is always intense because the teams have 2 five minuet halves to score and win the game. Thia was really nervous now. What if she let in a goal what if it was her fault they lost... all this was weighing on her mind. She along with the rest of the team was motivated. They wanted to win this game so bad or at least tie it! The first five minutes passed and no one had scored yet. The teams switched sides and got ready to play the final five minuets. This one was more intense then the others. It was on Thia’s side mostly again she was on fire. Talking to her defense telling them what to do and also having some amazing saves! Time flew by because it was so busy on one end. The buzzer rang, and all the nerves and adrenalin started to settle in
