Sam Bass was one of the most famous train robbers in the west. Sam died at a young age of 27 on July 21,1878 in Round Rock Texas. Sam was not your ordinary train robber, he was good most of his adult life. He worked as a cowboy for the sheriff but during the winter months he didn't really like it. Also Sam's real name was Samuel Bass. Sam was born on July 21,1851 in Mitchell,Indiana. Sam's parents were Daniel Bass and Elizabeth Jane Sheeks Bass. He had sisters and one brother. Before Sam was 13 he was an orphaned,he spent 5 years with his uncle and his uncle's 9 kids. In 1869 Sam ran away to go work in Sawmill at Rosedale Mississippi.
