Roswell: Fact or Fiction Throughout history, there have been millions of cases with reports of UFOs all over the world. There are always multiple conspiracy theories to every UFO report. One of the most famous UFO reports ever reported was the Roswell, New Mexico case. Roswell has been described as one of the most intensively investigated UFO reports to date, and it is still being studied today. The official date that it was recorded on is July 8, 1947 in Lincoln County, New Mexico. Churchill lived in Chicago, Illinois until she decided to move to Roswell, New Mexico in December of 1994. She decided to move there to learn more about their community and to hear all of the stories they had obtained throughout the years. Now, Churchill did not know whether to believe in the story of Roswell, New Mexico or not. Furthermore, as soon as she arrived, she found out that almost all of the Roswell community highly believes in UFOs. After having lived in Roswell for years now, Churchill has heard of all kinds of different stories and theories behind what people really believe to what happened in the Roswell incident. It is so crazy that there are people who live in that area of New Mexico to just wait for an opportunity to see a real UFO for themselves. Now that they might seem as a little crazy or even psychotic, the people of Roswell have so much heart and belief in themselves. Major Jesse Marcel, with General Roger Ramey there as well, held a press conference and announced it was all just a weather balloon and nothing else. The press conference made most reporters believe that the UFO mystery had been solved and that there was no extraterrestrial spacecraft involved. There were others that questioned Major Marcel because he claimed that he attended multiple universities, but Korff checked with those universities and they said he either did not finish or never went there at all. This information makes Marcel seem shady by itself, but there was also a time when he claimed he flew the wreckage to an Air Force Base in Carswell, Texas. Even though the press conference mostly worked, there were still many die-hard believers of what they saw.
