Ellen Ricketts Combs English Composition I 9/7/14 Evaluation of the movie Robin Hood: Men in Tights What I look forward to in a movie to me depends on the genre of the movie. For comedies, I think they should make people laugh at the plot and characters mannerisms. For romantic I feel like you should feel at least really sad or really happy at least one time during the movie. Romance movies are always filled with drama, so I feel they should take you on a ride with your emotions. Horror movies should of course scare you but I always look for a good plot with good graphics and a good plot twist , something that will make the person feel like they know who a killer is but then just completely throwing you off so you can be really surprised in the end. …show more content…

The movie I chose was Robin Hood: Men In Tights. Produced and directed by Mel Brooks, the film Robin Hood: Men in Tights, stars Cary Elwes, Richard Lewis, and Dave Chappelle. The film includes many comedic references to past Robin Hood films such as, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, upon which the plot is loosely structured, Disney's Robin Hood, and The Adventures of Robin Hood. Mel Brooks added his own personal touch to this film, parodying traditional adventure, and romance films, while the whole idea of this movie, is of men running around the woods in tights. The plot starts out as Robin being captured in the Crusades where he is imprisoned in Jerusalem. He breaks out of jail and returns to England. Upon his return to his home he comes across a man named Ahchoo being beaten up, he then rescues him. Robin returns to his family home, Loxley Hall, only to find it has been repossessed by Prince John's
