It was finally the day that I had to pony up and ride the Wild Thing. Last time Macie and I went to Valleyfair, we made a promise that the next time we came, we had to ride it. We had been nervous to ride it because neither of us like heights or the feeling in your stomach when you go down a big drop. We planned to also ride the rest of the “big” rollercoasters. This trip to Valleyfair would be fun because our friends Evan, Zach, and Sam would be coming, who we met on our mission trip to Louisiana. Alli, a friend who moved to Grand Rapids, would also be tagging along. While I was getting ready for the bus ride, I was texting my friends, saying how excited I was. Of course, Macie and I were chatting about our anxiousness and seeing if …show more content…
Macie, Alli, and I warmed up with the Corkscrew and later rode the High Roller and the Excalibur. I had never ridden either the High Roller or the Excalibur, so it was already surprised at how much I was enjoying the roller coasters. I was starting to really love the adrenaline rush and the whips and turns. Before lunch, we went to the Renegade. I had been on this ride, three years prior. I hated it. It felt like whiplash and was much too aggressive for my taste. As we waited in the line to board the coaster, we saw Sam, Evan, and Zach finish the ride. They were laughing and smiling. We waved to them and gave them nervous smiles. When it was time to ride, we got in our seats and slowly took off. Up, up, up, side turn, and then I was laughing. Although it was still a pretty aggressive ride, I was enjoying myself. I was ready to ride the Wild …show more content…
We sat outside by the karaoke center, where we saw our friends. We told them that we planned to go to the waterpark, to ride the family slide and lazy river, after lunch. Sam was interested in going too, so we decided to meet with him when we were done. The family slide was worth the wait. The side I sat on went on all the high curves, so I felt like I was going to fall on Sam and Alli! After that excitement, we relaxed in the lazy river. We floated around it twice, thinking about what we wanted to do next. We decided to go to the area where Steel Venom and Northern Lights. Alli, Macie, and I remembered how much fun we had the previous year on the Northern Lights, and wanted Sam to enjoy it too. Alli also wanted to ride Steel Venom, even I was giving that I thought. After we rode Northern Lights a few times, Alli and I got in line for Steel Venom, while Macie and Sam chose to watch. I was shaking in line. Alli was excited and I just hoped to like it. We were locked in our seats, and the operator was giving the all clear signal. The fake screams started playing and we were off. We traveled forward and up at high speeds. Then we were going backwards, and our feet were dangling and my face felt numb from hanging there. After the ride was finished, I didn’t think any other ride could beat this one. This was easily my favorite so
On this ride riders experience the Sun, Mars, the Asteriod Belt, Sattilites, and the Moon. During this ride the space craft shaped car will speed down a dark purple track. This ride also offers a one of a kind single seat at the sheer point of the space shuttle shaped car giving the rider a once in a lifetime experience. The ride will deliver a very thrilling ride with the ride twisting around itself. This will produce a very intense ride. Apollo 11 being the first space shuttle to accomplish the first moon landing will make this ride have excellent theming and will make you feel like its real. The ride will cause riders to feel all the insane moments these astronauts had when they were the first men on the moon. The ride will put rides through a series 9 elements, including 3 inversions. Rides will spiral up the first hill and it will be the first of its type. Also with the outer seats will provide a similar ride to coasters similar to skyrush nevertheless this roller coaster will be the first roller coaster with winged seats to go upside down. This all causes this coaster one of the ultimately unique roller
My next journey was in a month, and I was on my way to the next big rodeo, Nationals. I expected the same response from people there as here, but I was hopeful for it. With this thought, I smiled.
I was sitting in a basement that smelled bad and was stuffy, I needed to get out of there. I was with my friend who liked to ride bikes. So, we decided to ride bikes. Outside we only had 1 normal bike, the other was an old bike with a banana seat on it. I lost a coin toss so I had to ride the trashy bike that had trouble even going straight. There was a trail down at the park where we would ride the bikes. We thought we would go there first and then go climb on playground after. At the very beginning of the trail there’s this difficult hill that goes pretty fast and shoots you right at a left turn. If you didn’t slow down and turn fast enough you would crash.
They give you a thrill due to the ability to accelerate: One moment downward, seconds later upwards, then next, your leftwards one moment and rightwards the next. And it all goes to the “acceleration” of the ride. Another thing to consider when riding or building a roller coaster is the the loop, the hill, and even the banked turn has to be analysed. The relationship between potential and kinetic energy in a roller coaster can be a good example of the “energy theory,” and how the different energy flows can make things work.
The first ride I will be talking about is Vertical Velocity, the “Midwest’s most extreme thrill ride,” that was introduced in 2001. Vertical Velocity is the epitome of all things physics, Vertical Velocity is a “clean, strong, U-shaped steel track spikes up in two impossibly high directions, one in an ultra-twisted inline curve, and the other straight up.” The ride goes up 185 feet on both towers, going at a speed of 70 meters per second in just four seconds. The people riding Vertical Velocity, get thrown into a “spiraling impulse coaster,”with the help of an “electromagnetic propulsion system.” An electromagnetic propulsion system
We woke up early the next morning to start heading towards the river. When we got there I was happy to finally be out of the truck. I was ready and prepared to get in the water. Especially because it was so hot!
The Storm Runner was so fast and went high in the air. It was one of everyone’s favorite coaster. We slowly walked back to ride any other rides. Since the Storm Runner wasn’t running well, they closed the ride for the day, so we were upset.
Now let me take you back to my 10th grade year of high school, Its August, so the school year has barely set in. Yet my mind was already racing. It was time to go to Six Flags "Georgia’s most notable theme park". This year was nothing special though, because I planned on it being no different from any other time I went. I usually don’t do anything out of my comfort zone. My mission was to just chill, have fun, and socialize. I intended casually observing the park attendees because Six Flags draws in an array of different personalities. One thing I couldn’t do, though was listen to my Mom complain to my Dad that she’s ready to go, so I normally veered off to avoid hearing it. That usually led to me just wandering
S.H.I.E.L.D's Character Coaster It was my first day at Six Flags California. We were coming here for an end of the year school field trip. My best friend, Jackson, and I spent most of the day wondering around the park, playing games and riding smaller rides. You see, I had only been on a roller coaster once, and after that I vowed to never go on one again. The force at which the ride pushed on against my body caused me to accelerate at such a rate where I almost threw up.
I looked passed the booth area. All I heard was carnaval music, smelled popcorn, and saw little decorations. At that point I was really surprised, I thought it would be much scarier. I remember when I was all freaked out, when it looks so fun. We finally went through the line and walked in.
The next day we went to Hollywood Studios at Disney World. It was really hot that day, but it was still super fun. That was my first time going on a roller coaster. I was really scared, but my parents convinced me to go on one, and now I love roller coasters! We went on this ride that was supposed to be like flying through the sky around the world called Soarin’. It was a really cool experience. We also went on this ride called the Tower Of Terror. It was really fun.
My heart was beating so fast and so hard I was wondering if it was going to jump out of my chest! As we drove to the waterpark, I was wondering if my friends Heather, Johnny and Isabella were going to be their waiting for us. I hoped
We are two minutes away from riding my dream ride since fifth grade. My sister, cousin, and I walk into another line for seats. When the next ride unloads, we begin to file into the seats and I am literally bouncing up and down on the seat. Our seat belts are fastened, the 3-D glasses are put on, and the ride finally begins to
After we got off the airplane, we rented a car and drove to my Uncle Joe?s house. We finally got there and then we all went out to eat dinner. We went to some Italian restraunt and boy was it good. To this day, I have never tasted anything as good as the Veal Picata I had that day. I ate so much that I could hardly move and once I got back to my uncle?s, I just passed out and went to bed. I had a big and exciting day ahead of me. I was going to Universal Studios and I couldn?t wait.
I have always been fascinated by carnival rides. It amazes me that average, ordinary people eagerly trade in the serenity of the ground for the chance to be tossed through the air like vegetables in a food processor. It amazes me that at some time in history someone thought that people would enjoy this, and that person invented what must have been the first of these terrifying machines. For me, it is precisely the thrill and excitement of having survived the ride that keeps me coming back for more.
