Have you been to the sunshine state? I have. Amusement parks, sandy beaches, shops, and more make Florida an awesome trip destination that everyone can enjoy. It all started with the sound of my alarm at 3:00 am, I thought it was too early, but later on I found out it was well worth it. My mom soon threw my bedroom door open, “We need to leave in 15 minutes for the airport” I quickly got ready in what little time I could, grabbed my suitcase and hopped in my dad's car. It took about 45 minutes to get the airport. Thoughts were rushing through my mind the whole time of what Florida would be like. I had gone twice before, but I was really young and I couldn't remember anything from those trips. My cousins met us at the airport and my grandparents …show more content…
It was sunny and 85 degrees. It was the life. I soon saw my grandparents and ran to them. We drove back to the resort, and went to our room. It was the biggest room I've ever stayed in. My Mom, Dad, Sister, and I stayed in a room, My cousins and Aunt and Uncle stayed in a room, and my grandparents stayed in a room. The next day we went to Hollywood Studios at Disney World. It was really hot that day, but it was still super fun. That was my first time going on a roller coaster. I was really scared, but my parents convinced me to go on one, and now I love roller coasters! We went on this ride that was supposed to be like flying through the sky around the world called Soarin’. It was a really cool experience. We also went on this ride called the Tower Of Terror. It was really fun. Today was my sister's birthday! We went to Animal Kingdom, Which had a really fun ride called The Legend Of The Forbidden Mountain, where you go up the coaster normally and drop backwards. I screamed really loud! After a while, we got lunch. We went to a restaurant in the park, where I had the best grilled cheese of my life. We spent a few more hours at the park and left at dinner time. That night, we had dinner at a really nice restaurant. I got steak and mashed potatoes and we left after eating for about an hour and went back to our resort. When we got back we went to our cousin's room and watched
Atlanta and Miami are both amazing places for vacation because they both have great entertainment, culture, and food. Miami and Atlanta are very different because Miami has many more attractions, an amazing nightlife, and beautiful beaches and Atlanta has a small amount of attractions, nice nightlife, and good weather.
The car ride was always the longest but we all knew it was worth it. We arrived at the campsite ready to finally get out of the small compacted car. We unpacked everything and still had time to go hangout around the campsite before the sun went down so my brother and I went fishing while my sister and mom went down to the playground. When we got back the second family had arrived.
I do not remember much, but what I remember is that I had a lot of fun, got to see a beautiful sunset, and got to play in the beach for a long time, and then I have to roam Boardwalk and go shopping with my family. I finally get to go back and make fun and memorable memories.
Augustine by far, had to be being with my mom all day long. Before coming to Florida, my mother and I rarely spent time together; she worked long shifts at a naval hospital, while I waited at a daycare. What made this trip to St. Augustine so special were the simple things, such as holding my mother’s hand as we navigated through the swarms of people in tight walkways. Another memorable moment came on the trolley, with my mom pointing out the many attractions around the area, such as The Bridge of Lions and Castillo de San Marcos, much to my amazement. St. Augustine marked the beginning of much more mother and daughter outings, with this trip in particular being my
When we left the hotel, my parents had a tough time finding the theme park. There were so many overpasses and lanes, my dad missed the exit a few times. Luckily, my dad finally got off at the right exit. When we first arrived, I was so excited. I had never seen so many seen so many people in one place, and the climate was very different compared to El Paso. I remember listening to the roars of the roller coasters and the screams of the people on them. We finally got into the park. As we entered, I remember it being very humid and moist. There were so many different smells coming from the restaurants.
After we got tired of the pool me and my family started to head to the beach. So as we walked we noticed an amazing shell so we went and picked it up and there was a snail inside of it. It jumped out of its shell at my dad and scared us to death. After that we set it back free in the ocean, the we went and played around in the amazing water. My mom and my grand ma went to go and get lunch from the beach side café. They had the best food on the beach, we all ate our lunch and were stuffed
It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it was out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on it. My uncle would say before our trip that Disney had the best fireworks that he ever saw, so I was looking forward to them since my uncle is kind of a pyrotechnic.
Working incessantly for numerous hours a week, tending to the children, preparing healthy meals, and trying to remain a normal human being often takes a toll on many of us. Vacation time allows us to unwind, have fun, create everlasting memories, and remove ourselves from the stressors of everyday life that tend to exhaust us. Many vacation destinations are home to amusement parks that compete to receive your hard earned cash, but the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida is the location of the finest theme parks in the world. Walt Disney World is home to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios that provide high quality attractions, unbelieveable character experiences, signature fine dining, and outstanding cast members
At last, we’re in Florida! But, before the fun can start, we have to do some other stuff. We have to take my grandfather to our relatives in Miami. So, we now have to drive 4 hours from Orlando to Miami cramped up in the white van.
The trip to Florida over Christmas break was unlike any other. Yes, most people would jump at the opportunity to go to Florida after a winter like we had up to that point. So, let me give you some background on why the trip. Back in July my mother in-law had an epileptic seizure that rendered her in a coma, she has not awoken from and the doctors are pushing to let her go. She has been moved 3 hours from my brother in-laws house to Georgia. Thanks to our lovely health care system, it was the only place available that could take care of her needs. Perfect timing kids are out of school and it is a good time to travel so you would think. I have been out of work
It's easy to spend too long trying to figure out the best place to spend your next vacation. In fact, spending hours on a computer looking at different options, half of which might not even be attractive to yourself, could be just enough to give yourself a headache.
One our way there we made a stop to meet up with my mom’s aunt and give her flowers because she was really sick. We also made a stop to see our cousins and play to get energy out. These were just things to help us stay entertained for a little bit before getting back in the car for a long ride. As soon as we got to the hotel we got to go swimming and watch the fireworks from our hotel. That day was one of the best days I have ever had. I was genuinely happy for once. The next day we woke up got all ready in our disney gear and headed for the park. My mom had gotten a call the night before from one of her customers that lives in California saying her husband works there so if we wanted we could get in for free instead of buy tickets when we got there. This was a huge blessing because we really didn’t have the money to go but my mom wanted it to work so she moved some payments around but we didn’t have to worry about it because we got in for
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
I can still remember how excited I was before take off, I mean it felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Just all the anticipation that was inside of me had just made the wait even longer for me. Finally, I heard the pilot say 'prepare for take off'. When I heard those words I was so overjoyed I could hardly contain myself. That rush I got once the plane took off was an experience like no other. The plane ride was about hours long and I enjoyed every minute of it. Little did I know, that was less than half of the fun I was going to have at Orlando.
