Although many individuals look at others rank in society to measure the amount of respect they’ll give to them, it is mainly up to the individuals themselves to have enough confidence and earn the respect they believe they should get. Without respect you cant have real friends, have a decent job and most of all being a decent person. In the movie “Spanglish” and the story “stolen party” we saw examples of certain characters showing respect and some character’s being disrespectful. We also saw that when being respectful you are loved more and more cared for. In the story “stolen party” we saw how being disrespectful can ruin someone’s friendship and life.
This is the first definition. The core of this relationship is 'trust and respect' for the individual, together with the prior self-knowledge and view of the other necessary for helping a relationship. Where the goals of education are clear in the mind of the teacher, and where the basis for a teaching relationship is mutual trust and respect rather than authority, the search for a comfortable and produc... ... middle of paper ... ...dents. This is my personal perspective, but some student's behaviors are inordinate. They aren't concerned with their responsibility at all.

How would the world differ without respect? Respect is the act of showing someone that you value his or her feelings and thoughts. Respect is a universal value that each person desires not only to embody, but also to receive. Respect is not just what you say but also the way you act. Showing people that you take their feelings and thoughts into consideration are how to earn respect.
One of the first soft skills that all technicians should know is “respect”. The reason for have this soft skills is because having respect is showing the right attitude, if you respect a customer then the customer would show you respect. If you give the respect that people deserve then people would give you the respect you deserve. Showing respect and by consider yourself a guest at the customer’s site you would make the customer happy and on see you as a profession. The second soft skill that all technicians should know is “good communication skill”.
Those who do not have a strong understanding of what values and beliefs are may think they are the same thing. However, these two portions of consistency have quite different meanings. Values are important personal ideas. These play a large role in consistency because whatever a person’s values are, this is where their actions come from. For example, while one person may value effort, another may have no value in respect.
Due to these introverted behaviors, there is a level of uncomfortability that comes with knowing the right thing to say. However often times I am not acutely aware of others motivations and hidden agendas. I tend to think the best of co-workers and do not ready recognize that people have hidden agendas. I do however pay very close attention to people’s facial expressions, feelings, and emotions. In doing so, people say that I make them feel comfortable and at ease.
If someone appears inept, they will not be viewed as a reliable source for the subject at hand. On the flip side, if someone appears unapproachable, cold, or unfriendly, they will have a harder time convincing people to stand by them, as people tend to trust those who are likable. While not every speaker desires to be perceived as such, most do. Although both competence and likability are fundamental to a speakers’ success, competence is more so in professional situations, whereas likability is more so in social situations. In order to be a friend, one has to be friendly.
People do not work well together if some type of respect is not established. Jobs don’t get finished, or if they do, they are not finished well and in a timely manner. Of course, it is still possible to work with others without respect, but not alongside them. Respect can be earned in more ways than one. Some are quick to respect, meaning that automatically, respect is given and no questions are asked.
When someone does something for us, it is important to have good manners and say thank you. Apologizing after we’ve made a mistake shows that we respect the other person’s feelings. The last important act of learning humbleness is learning how to listen to our peers, more than we talk. I love a person that will sit down and listen to how I feel without judging me. Having someone that cares about how I feel is an amazing sensitivity.
