Saint Christopher is one of the most popular Catholic Christian heroes of the Faith. He is a saint, a known as a martyr.Saint Christopher was born in Canaan. We do not know when he was born, but he died under the Roman Emperor Decius, in 251 AD. Another name for him is, Reprobus. Most Catholics refer to him as Saint Christopher , and his medals and the popular devotions to him are among the most common in Catholic piety. His name means "Christ-bearer" which was referred to several different real or legendary people. Originally, they didn't know if his name was implied to a specific person or a group of people. Saint Menas happens to be the patron of travelers in the Coptic tradition, which further supports an association with Saint Christopher who is the patron of travelers in the Greek and Latin traditions. This means that Saint Christopher and Saint Menas look after travelers. Saint christopher is a popular saint and usually is known by most travelers, athletes, mariners and other sailors. He holds patronage of things related to travelers against lightning and pestilence. This means he protects travelers, athletes, etc, for getting hurt, or getting diseases.
