What is a conspiracy theory? A conspiracy theory is a theory that explains an event as being the result of something by a group or organization. Most conspiracy theories are never true and are just what people might think of something for a particular event. Today, there are many conspiracy theories such as the 9/11 attacks. Many people believe that the government set up the attacks on the twin towers. This may or may not be the truth but that’s why it is a conspiracy theory. Another conspiracy theory that has many people wondering is was America discovered before Christopher Columbus?

Many historians have gathered and analyzed that it was in fact the Vikings that had discovered America first. To many historians, it was marked the 11th century when it was rumored that the Vikings had reached America. These Norse sailors were a huge group of all different types of people such as pirates, merchants, explorers, and merchants. In the group of these Norse sailors that is believed to of found America before Christopher Columbus, the leader of this group to discovering America was the famous explorer Leif Eriksson. He reportedly arrived to America in 1000 A.D., which was way before Columbus arrived in America. Some of these names are the Chinese, “The First People”, etc. What does it mean when we say the “First People” that discovered America? Why are they called the “First People?” These people had a name to them. They are referred to as the Clovis people. Many archeologists experimented and now have evidence that back up their findings on how these “First People” were the first to ever discover America. Archaeologist found tracks of items that may have been left behind by these people. They found tools, human bones, etc.
