Throughout the novel, this monster, Grendel, seems confused as to whether he wants to view life like his existentialistic dragon mentor, or like the ignorantly optimistic humans on which he feeds. At times he is captivated by the romantic songs of the Shaper, and feels no desire to kill, while at others he thrives on the "knowledge" of the dragon, and goes on bloody rampages. At one point during Grendel's insecure state, the dragon tells him something that changes his outlook, and gives him a new feeling of self-worth.
The central characters are Magnus and Jack, his talking sword, originally owned by Magnus’s birth father, Frey, who is a Norse God. The main conflict of the story is that Fenris Wolf, a giant wolf from Norse Mythology, has been chained up for a long time and is finally getting close to escaping its chains. The villains are not only Fenris Wolf, but also Surt, another son of Frey, who is a fire giant and tries to steal Sumarbrander from Magnus. Magnus has to race against time and get to the island of Fenris Wolf, after he finds it, and defeat Surt there in order to rebind Fenris Wolf. He goes on an adventure through multiple of the nine worlds and makes it to the island to defeat Surt and Fenris wolf in battle and they get Fenris Wolf retied up by the mythical chains. I sympathize with Hearth because he is deaf and elven. I feel bad for his lack of hearing because he has to use sign language to communicate, and because elves thrive on sunlight, so many times Hearth is weak due to lack of sunlight in the

The dragon is the gateway to this realization of the power he has over the citizens, urging Grendel to continue to torment the people. As he convinces him, he argues, “You improve them...you stimulate them! You make them think and scheme. You drive them to poetry, science, religion, all that makes them what they are for as long as they last. You are, so to speak, the brute existent by which they learn to define themselves”(73). While Grendel argues that his thoughtless attacks have no meaning except for violence, the dragon retaliates that his attacks are the most beneficial thing that Grendel could do for the society. By becoming the antagonist, Grendel is able to provide a point of comparison that the society can move away from, much like the traditional hero provides a basis for personality traits that the society wants to strive for. He becomes a solid part of mankind as a whole, just as necessary as a hero is. But Grendel also knows the extent he can alter them without breaking the society. Just like glass will shatter if one tries to bend it, but once it’s heated it molds with ease. I was born a dwarf as well as a second son, nothing is expected of me. Many people have fond memories of family, I on the other hand do not. I do not ever remember my mother, not the brightness of her smile, or the way her hair flowed in a summer's breeze, or even a soft kiss upon my young cheek. The reason I don't know all of these things is because my mother died giving birth to me, a fact my father and my sister still to this very day curse with every breath in their spiteful bodies. My brother Jamie is a good sort, I often enjoyed his company, I always respected him, and he never lied to me.
While the monsters of the poem are the antagonists of the poem, the author still manages to make the reader feel traces of sympathy for them. Grendel’s human depiction, exile and misery tugs at the heart of readers and indeed shows a genuine side to the figure, while Grendel’s mother and the dragon are sympathetic mainly because they were provoked into being attacked over things they both had a deep affection for. Their actions make us question whether they are as evil as they seem.

The movie Ghost Rider didn't get any high rating, and people didn't really enjoy it (moviereview/ghostrider.com), well a new rider named Goat Rider appeared in town. He as a superhero (not an evil demon spirit) uses his magical powers to save people from danger. He has yet to lose a battle and/or leave someone to their death. People know him all around the world by his strange outfit and his uniqueness, and always helps right on time.
