Recommended: Freedom writers opinion

The students in the movie Freedom Writers face “war-like” hostilities every day including the following: gangs, bullying, racial tension, and many more. One of the hostilities I come in contact with most of all is bullying. I see students being bullied physically, mentally, and emotionally on a daily basis. Some students are afraid to just go to school, because they get teased over the clothing they wear, their race, and even their personality. Just as Meip says in the movie, “You are the real heroes, you are heroes every day.” I think quote can really reflect back to the students that are heroes daily from trying to stand up for themselves and getting bullied every single day of their lives and are still alive. They face things that they should never have to go through. Bullying can do more damage than a war. If I could choose a personal fear or hatred that I have to face daily, it would be my insecurities.
